Upper Cumberland RV Park and Campground Reviews
We had a fantastic time tent camping here! The grounds are well-maintained and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The sites are well spaced and amenities are a short walk. We had an unexpected pop-up ant situation and the owner was over in mere minutes with the remedy. Although we didn’t use the dog park this time, it looked great, and I’m definitely bringing my pup along on the next trip. What really sets this campground apart are the owners. They're truly a rare find—genuinely kind and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The whole atmosphere is warm and inviting, like you're staying with friends rather than just renting a site. We’re already planning our next stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable camping experience!
Jun 23, 2025 · Sarah FranklinWe had the pleasure of staying here for a week. The area is lovely and full of waterfalls to visit. The campground is a sweet, quiet spot. This is a new campground and you can tell it’s being built with love and thought, it seems they keep adding amenities!- variety of spots for different size campers, we fit great in our 43’ fifth wheel with room to park- Full or partial hook up options- large dog park- quiet- clean- bathrooms and laundry are being built it seemedWe had a bad set of storm systems go through and they worked extra hard to ensure we all had safe places to go for shelter, alerted everyone staying there of any potential dangers, and kept good communication through the storms.
Mar 20, 2025 · Sarah LitchkeI recently had the pleasure of staying here and this place checks every box for a peaceful, enjoyable getaway. This place is a rare find—clean, quiet, family-friendly, and full of thoughtful touches that make all the difference.First and foremost, the cleanliness and maintenance of the grounds are top-notch. From the campsites to the restrooms and common areas, everything was spotless and clearly well cared for. It’s obvious the owners take great pride in the property, and it shows. One of the highlights for us was how dog-friendly the campground is. Not only are pets welcome, but there’s even a fenced-in dog park on site—a fantastic bonus for those traveling with four-legged companions. Our dog loved having a safe place to run and socialize with other pups. It’s also incredibly peaceful and quiet, especially at night, making it a perfect retreat for families or anyone looking to unwind in nature without the usual noise of crowded campgrounds. We felt safe and relaxed the entire time. The campground is also very family-friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of open space for kids to play. Whether you’re in an RV or a tent it’s an environment that feels safe and inclusive. One of the things that really stood out to us was that this campground is woman- and veteran-owned. You can feel the passion and dedication that went into creating such a thoughtful, inclusive space. Supporting businesses like this is important, and it’s even better when the experience exceeds expectations. Finally, the price is more than reasonable for the quality of amenities and the overall experience. You get far more than you pay for here, which is refreshing in today’s travel market.Bottom line: If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and welcoming campground that’s great for families and pets—and one that supports a woman and veteran-owned business—this is the place to go. Highly recommended.
May 31, 2025 · cole schnaebeleMy stay at Upper Cumberland RV Park & Campground was so lovely! It’s so peaceful and they are very sweet, kind and quick to respond! I’m excited to see how much they bloom with this space. They are doing so many great things! Would recommend to all my fellow campers!
May 16, 2025 · Samantha TramelWe had a very peaceful stay. We needed a last minute stay to take care of a failed slide and Upper Cumberland was super close to the repair shop. The park is new, level gravel sites, pull throughs with full hook-ups and back ins. There is a bath house and laundry. Our pup gave the dog park 2 paws up. Owners are attentive. They were very kind to offer us an early arrival due to storms rolling in. They also texted us with weather updates in case things got really bad. That is awesome service and shows the difference between a small park and a corporate one. I wish them the best as they continue to grow and build out. We'll keep the park in our list as we travel through Tennessee again.
