Turkey Creek Campground Reviews
What a fantastic campground. We wish all campgrounds could be this wonderful. It is a quiet, beautiful campground! From the moment we arrived until we departed, Rick was friendly, helpful and working hard. The gathering area was beautiful-we loved sitting up there during sunsets. The bath house was extremely clean, as well as the laundry area-dish cleaning sink area. It was very easy to pick up needed firewood and ice anytime, paying with the honor system. We will definitely be back very soon!
Apr 18, 2025 · Renee EversThis place was perfect! We enjoyed hanging out around the campground and then fell asleep to the sound of the creek. The owner was friendly, and quite helpful. We loved the deck with chairs and tables overlooking the campground. And the warm showers were amazing. Highly recommend!
Apr 03, 2025 · Sarah Cowan10/10 campground. Excellent customer service from the owner, I assume it's the owner, he reached out almost as soon as I booked to let me know about the place, and the firewood and ice they offer on the honor system. We had the campground to ourselves seeing as it was 20 degrees that night but it was beautiful, the stars were so bright and it was peaceful and quiet. The bathrooms were warm and so so clean. There was also a nice deck area off of the Office that was cute. I had no trouble finding my site or navigating the campground since it was smaller than most places I have stayed. The sounds of the creek were just loud enough to be a nice sound to sleep to. We just had one night but we will definitely be back for more.
Feb 24, 2025 · Laura DotsonThe manager is super nice and stoped by to see if we were comfortable with our camp site. Super clean facilities, observation deck and office. The power was good with no problems. Firewood and ice on site. Great location for getting around the area. Thanks
May 17, 2025 · Dan RogersThis was in my top 3 best campgrounds we’ve ever camped. We stayed on an ‘RV Creekside Site’. And it was magical. Our 19 foot (29 foot extended) HW popup fit perfectly. We had to do a fair bit of leveling left to right, but that is always expected, and was not difficult. There was a tent pad on our site, so delightfully that became our kitchen. Creek was crystal clear and cold, and lovely for feet in the creek at the end of the day. Bathhouse was the cleanest we’ve EVER seen (ladies, shower stall 3, farthest from the door - best shower I’ve ever had, camping or otherwise). Great laundry facilities, firewood, ice, and a lovely porch available 24/7. Camp store doesn’t have a lot of every day supplies, so come prepared, but grocery is only 15 min a way. Just an absolute pleasure to stay here. If we come back to the area, we WILL be back. Central to Cherokee, Bryson City, Great Smoky Mtn Railway, Nantahala River Gorge, Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Tail of the Dragon (did it in my Subaru Ascent with two lime green sea kayaks on the roof), Fontana Lake, etc etc. Just perfect.
