4.0
I'd probably say 3.5 is more appropriate but we'll round it up to 4 because of the amenities. The campground itself is very nice, very clean and laid out well. The spots themselves are nice size and each spot comes with its own electric panel, which is super nice. The showers are amazing, probably the best ones I have ever seen at a campground and the restrooms were clean, they only use hand dryers so there is no paper mess. It's also very nice because out the backside of the campground is a walking path you can use to get to Traverse City or Acme and in the front of the campground is a walking path that goes over the busy road and direct to the beach of Lake Michigan. Throughout the campground every so often they have clean water spickets you can use which is nice that you don't ever have to walk to far potable water. They also have a few small, 1-2 person cabins to rent at the front of the campground. The drawbacks would be the amount of people, there are over 400 sites at this campground and it can feel a little crowded but it was too too bad. Secondly, it's pretty near the airport so you hear the planes coming and going, most of the time they aren't too big but probably 3 or 4 times a day you'll get a bigger one that makes a lot of noise, woke me up one night. And it's right off a very main, busy road so it can be hard getting out sometimes and can contribute to unwanted noise if you're towards the front of the campground. Overall, not a bad spot to "camp" if you're visiting. It rained pretty bad on us one night and we woke up sleeping on a water bed, tent held up tho, nothing got wet. - Philip Young
