Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA Holiday Reviews
We spent 6 nights here over the Easter holiday. Great little campground. The property is meticulously cared for with large gravel sites and concrete pads. Superb location just a short 10 minute drive to Travelers Rest and the start/terminus of the Swamp Rabbit trail. We were in a 42’ 5th wheel toy hauler and we could have fit fine in just about any site there with plenty of room to drop our back ramp and access our garage. My in laws rented a cute little cabin overlooking the creek next to our site and it was perfect. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. I went to the camp store looking for safety pins and they didn’t have any but the staff member at the desk went and got some from her personal stash and brought them to our campsite on her golf cart! Highly recommended bringing bikes of you come. Travelers Rest is very bike friendly with lots of families and people of all ages on bikes everywhere. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5/5 stars is that very few people observe the 5 mph speed limit and it is not enforced, even though signs are posted everywhere. The result is that dust from the gravel road ends up coating everything, including our food when we tried to enjoy meals outside. We just paid to have our rig professionally washed and waxed and it will need another cleaning after 6 days here. I really wish people were more courteous. If you come, please respect the 5 mph speed limit for everyone’s safety and cleanliness.
Apr 22, 2025 · Aaron PolsgroveWhat an awesome little campground, nestled in the trees for a peaceful relaxing stay. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Most all the sites are on the right side of the main drive as you come in with a few cabins and covered wagons in the middle and end. You have plenty of privacy with no one in front of you as you back in (other than the two pull through sites) it’s a very laid back country setting. The bathroom facilities were kept immaculate along with the rest of the campground. Definitely will be back again.
Jun 14, 2025 · Scott HFantastic campground in a wonderful location. Staff is super helpful and professional. Sites are clean and level. Meticulous care for the landscaping and facilities. This is our second trip here and is quickly becoming a favorite. Miles from the sweet town of Travelers Rest and a 30 minute drive to downtown Greenville. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a must!
Apr 22, 2025 · Wendy PolsgroveReally clean, well maintained property. Woman at the check in was friendly and helpful and our daughter loved staying in the covered wagon. It was quiet and peaceful there. Bathrooms were clean. Only suggestion I would have for the owner is to put some gravel around the fire pit rings as it got kind of muddy after the rain stopped and we were getting a fire going.
Apr 27, 2025 · Jason PleakisGreat little camp ground. Owner keeps up with the ground very well. Each site had a cement pad which was really nice especially when you have pets. Sites in the middle and far end are really nice as they have two people swings and stone fire pits too. Best part is I didn't see any evidence of year round permanent campers. I saw some that may be seasonal, but no signs of run-down campers left there year around for years. There are outdoor games like a giant connect four, checkers, etc. for the kids. The also have a panni g for gems, where you can buy a bag of dirt, place it in the running water and pan for gems. Camp store is very cute with a mix of necessities and other camping accessories...you just might find a little camping gift in there. I am very particular to shower houses. Shower house was not bad, but I have seen better. I say a 7 out of 10. All in all, and excellent camp ground. Our sit was three in from office and it was lovely right along the creek. I would definitely go back again and I highly recommend.
