By presenting publicly available information about Town Mountain Travel Park, we hope to equip you with the knowledge needed to make an informed decision that best suits your travel plans and preferences. Let's explore what Town Mountain Travel Park entails.
Town Mountain Travel Park is strategically located at 48 Town Mountain Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28792, USA. Hendersonville itself is a charming city in Henderson County, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. This location offers both convenience and access to the region's renowned natural beauty and popular attractions.
The park's address places it within easy reach of downtown Hendersonville, known for its historic Main Street, local shops, restaurants, and cultural events. Furthermore, its mountain setting means it's often a short drive to various outdoor recreational opportunities, including hiking trails, waterfalls, and scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway. For those traveling with an RV, accessibility to major roads is typically a consideration, and being in Hendersonville provides good connections to routes leading to Asheville, Flat Rock, and other surrounding areas.
The name "Town Mountain" suggests proximity to an elevated area, often indicating picturesque views or a quieter, more residential feel compared to being directly in a bustling town center. This can be appealing to those who desire a balance between convenience and a sense of being close to nature. For North Carolinians, particularly those in the western part of the state or those planning a getaway to the mountains, Hendersonville is a popular destination, and a travel park in this area can serve as a convenient home base.
While specific detailed lists of services for Town Mountain Travel Park are not extensively public, typical RV travel parks in this region generally offer the fundamental services necessary for RVers. Based on common industry standards for facilities designed for both transient and longer-term stays, one can anticipate the following types of provisions:
- RV Sites with Hookups: Most travel parks provide designated RV sites that include essential hookups. These typically consist of electrical connections (ranging from 30 to 50 amp), water hookups, and sewer connections for convenient waste disposal. These are crucial for the comfortable operation of an RV's systems.
- Long-Term and Short-Term Stays: Travel parks often cater to both short-term visitors, such as those passing through or on vacation for a few days, and long-term residents who may stay for weeks, months, or even year-round. This flexibility is a common feature.
- On-Site Management: A manager or management team is usually present to oversee operations, assist with check-ins, address issues, and maintain the property.
- Basic Infrastructure: This includes maintained roads within the park for easy navigation to sites, and potentially common waste disposal areas beyond individual sewer hookups if applicable.
It's important for prospective visitors to contact Town Mountain Travel Park directly to confirm the exact services available, specific site types, and any associated fees, as these can vary. Understanding the precise offerings will ensure that the park meets your specific needs for your RV stay.
When considering Town Mountain Travel Park, it's important to look at both its inherent characteristics and the experiences reported by some previous visitors. While specific positive "highlights" in terms of amenities are not widely publicized, we can discuss the general nature of such a park and acknowledge publicly available customer feedback:
- Location in Hendersonville: One inherent feature is its location in Hendersonville, NC, a popular destination in the Western North Carolina mountains. This provides access to scenic beauty, outdoor activities, and the town's amenities.
- Potential for Long-Term Stays: As a "travel park," it likely caters to longer-term residents, which can create a stable community atmosphere for those seeking extended stays in their RVs.
However, it is crucial to address readily available customer reviews, which highlight significant concerns regarding management and overall experience. These are important features of the park's public profile:
- Reported Negative Interactions with Management: Multiple customer reviews explicitly mention highly negative experiences with the park's manager. These include allegations of rudeness, verbal abuse, refusal of service after initial agreements (even after long drives), and disputes over deposits.
- Allegations of Discriminatory Behavior: One review specifically noted a situation where a reservation was allegedly canceled after the manager saw foreign workers, raising serious concerns about discriminatory practices.
- Issues with Deposit Handling: At least one review indicates problems with the refund or return of deposits, with threats being made in response to inquiries.
- Uncomfortable Atmosphere: The cumulative effect of these reported interactions suggests an environment where some visitors have felt unwelcome, disrespected, or even unsafe.
Given this public feedback, prospective visitors, especially those from North Carolina, should be aware that while the location is appealing, the reported customer service issues are a significant aspect of the park's current public perception. It is highly advisable to proceed with caution and consider these factors when making a reservation.

Hendersonville is a popular destination, offering access to the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, including hiking, scenic drives, and proximity to attractions like Asheville. However, it is paramount for North Carolinians to be aware of the consistent and serious negative feedback concerning management behavior, including allegations of rudeness, verbal threats, and discriminatory actions. These reports are a critical part of the park's public profile and can significantly impact the overall experience. While the location might be convenient, the human element of customer service and feeling safe and respected is fundamental to any positive stay.
Therefore, while Town Mountain Travel Park exists as an option in a desirable area of North Carolina, its suitability for locals depends heavily on individual priorities. If location and the presence of basic hookups are the sole criteria, it might appear to fit. However, given the severe negative customer experiences documented, locals are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, consider these reports seriously, and potentially explore other highly-rated and more positively reviewed options in the beautiful Hendersonville area to ensure a comfortable and respectful experience for their RV travels.

Town Mountain Travel Park Reviews
Mike was incredibly rude, made a reservation as we are here doing storm work. Drove 8 hours for Mike to decide he did not want to rent to us anymore. Everything seemed to be okay until he saw one of our foreign workers. We are very professional and absolutely did not deserve this treatment. Look elsewhere
May 03, 2025 · chris conwayThis manager has issues. I paid deposit for year round site. Then hired someone to move my camper. When we stop at office the day of arrival. He begans to curse me and refused to give my deposit and threatened me.
Jul 02, 2025 · Marlene RatcliffMy husband and I had an awesome two night stay here. Mike was very friendly and personable, communicating everything we needed to know for getting set up and departure, also offering to help to make it easier. Excellent customer service making us feel special. This campground is lucky to have Mike as the manager. We definitely hope to stay again. We loved the feel of the campground; clean with beautiful mature trees, azaleas and irises in bloom. It is easily located off I-26, close to a grocery store and tourist spots in the town of Hendersonville and surrounding mountain areas. We enjoyed an easy day trip to Chimney Rock State Park while staying here.
Apr 24, 2024 · Kelly AndrewsThe sites were clean and the facilities were great. Mike was the best host. He even did a campers appreciation dinner buffet style picnic for us on the holiday weekend! I was vending a craft show, so coming back and making a plate to take to my camper was exactly what I needed. Thanks for everything, Mike!
Sep 16, 2024 · Nellie in a CanGreat little campground with hookups. We stayed overnight on our way north from Florida. It was the perfect spot as we wanted to check out the Blue Ridge Parkway for a day. The manager was very knowledgeable about the area and was very helpful. Nice little his and hers bathhouses. We would stay here again.
