Thunder Canyon Campground Reviews
We just left Thunder Canyon after a 7 day stay. It was our first time here. We’ve been following the RV Odd Couple for years. It was a nice pleasure to meet John, Mercedes, and Sage! Great talking with you all and meeting a few other folks, all so very nice!!! It was very relaxing and we very much enjoyed hiking along the creeks. The sounds of the water at night was just heavenly! We loved the Chapel and Tuesday’s Bible study. We loved the ice cream social and getting to know some folks a little! Hope you all liked the cookies we dropped off on card night! Wish we could stay longer but this work thing keeps getting in the way! Hope to return again! Wishing you all much health and sucess. God bless you all and Thunder Canyon community! Mike & Renee (and Toto).
Jun 08, 2025 · Michael StisiMy wife and I have been here 6 months or so, and extended our time for at least 6 more. The Campground is a haven. You just can't say enough about the beauty of this place, not to mention the people here are amazing. I have never felt the bond of friendship so quickly as I have here. I often sit on a bench by the creek, playing my guitar. My quiet time alone with God has been Heavenly.I Just can't say enough of the good that's here.Dannie Heath
Apr 06, 2025 · Just Sayin'Wonderful camp! Highly recommend. Jon and Mercedes do so much to make the campground fun yet restful. Trail wraps around and can be done in sections. Fun activities, especially around Easter and July 4th.
Mar 20, 2025 · Beth ClouserLove staying at Thunder Canyon! It is so peaceful! The canyon creek was running hard with all the rain. The chapel is simply gorgeous. Enjoyed the Sunday service. Hiked along the creek and the trail now continuous. A big thank you for that! Will always come back whenever we are in the area.
May 08, 2025 · Barb TruittWe are from Michigan and absolutely fell in love with this place! We had such a wonderful time over Labor Day weekend that we're wanting to go back this Fall and Winter for possibly 6 months! The campground is absolutely beautiful! It's quiet and peaceful. The owners are very friendly, as are the seasonal campers. It feels like we found our tribe. ❤️
