Thousand Trails Rondout Valley

105 Mettacahonts Rd, Accord, NY 12404, USA

3.0
We liked this park, it had friendly staff, it was clean and organized! The roads were nice ( small bridges, were scary). So many things for kids even with the pool being closed. And us 60+ enjoyed the beautiful pickleball court! Amenities were beautiful clean bathhouses, activity center had ping pong and foosball table and balls, rackets , art, movies, books. The down side was all the games cost money which uses a card you purchase but the purchase machine was “offline”. So all games were off. They had a nice playground, jumping pad, horse shoes, basketball, volleyball and so much more. The fire wood was 7.99 a bundle which was 3.00 more than I have ever spent, 16.00 for a fire seems a little ridiculous to me but I did it anyway. The weather was cloudy off and on all day. But 64* in May. The store closed at 5:30 and has a little bit of everything. One bathroom was down for repairs I was told. It really deserved a 4.5 stars. Highly recommend this place. - Tami Kay Williams Watson (TK IN NC)

The campground's location is a significant draw for New York locals due to its proximity to diverse landscapes and cultural sites. It sits snugly between the Catskill Mountains to the west and the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge to the east, offering breathtaking vistas and immediate access to extensive hiking trails. The "small bridges" mentioned in a review, while potentially intimidating for some, contribute to the rustic charm of the journey through the area.
