4.0
We had a fantastic stay at Thousand Trails Forest Lake! This campground truly has it all—clean bathroom and shower houses, two laundry facilities, a fun playground, two pools, mini golf, basketball, sand volleyball, tennis courts, and even a big screen for community movie nights. The lake was perfect for kayaking and fishing, and we loved exploring the peaceful forest walking trails. The gravel pads were level and the paved roads made getting around easy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We highly recommend this campground and would absolutely come back again! - Melissa Jack

As a part of the larger Thousand Trails network, Thousand Trails Forest Lake operates within a membership-based system, which influences its "promotions or special offers." For members, the benefits include:

  • Access to a Network of Campgrounds: Membership provides access to hundreds of Thousand Trails and Encore properties across the country, offering significant value for frequent RV travelers.

  • No Nightly Fees (for certain memberships): Many Thousand Trails memberships offer the benefit of no nightly camping fees at their owned preserves, which can lead to substantial savings for frequent and extended stays.

  • Exclusive Member Events: Members often have access to special events, activities, and promotions exclusive to the Thousand Trails community.

However, it's important to note the experience mentioned in one review about being "eager to sell" a membership upon arrival, which some might find off-putting. For non-members or those considering membership, it's advisable to inquire about:

  • Trial Memberships: Sometimes, Thousand Trails offers trial memberships or discovery passes that allow potential members to experience the parks for a limited time at a reduced cost.
