The ZomBNB is located at 10005 Lorado Dr, Austin, TX 78725, USA. This address places it within the larger Austin metropolitan area, yet its specific setting allows for a unique sense of seclusion. The reviews highlight its "on the river" location, indicating direct or very close access to a waterway, which is a significant draw for campers. While it's within Austin, the description of the "road turns to dirt and gets real bumpy" hints at a more rustic, less developed approach, suggesting it's tucked away from heavy traffic and urban sprawl, offering a genuine escape without being excessively remote. This balance is ideal for those who want to feel disconnected from the city's intensity while still being able to access its conveniences when needed.
Its location in the eastern part of Austin provides a different perspective of the city's natural landscape, potentially offering more immediate access to rivers and wilder terrain compared to areas closer to downtown. For outdoor enthusiasts, being on the river means opportunities for water activities, and the expansive land provides plenty of space for exploration. Killer camp ground on the river, tons of space and very private. I hesitated to leave a review because I plan on coming back and don’t want a bunch of mouth breather townies tryin to glamp in my new favorite staycation destination, but the owner is a real cool and down to earth guy and my wife my dogs and I plan on being regulars so there ya have it. Walking dead film location, you’ll see what I mean when the road turns to dirt and gets real bumpy (hahaha). Lovely neighbors. If it isn’t for you, you can go jump in the river. Deuces ✌️
