Customer reviews paint a vivid picture of the resort’s appeal. One primitive camper raved, "We love Red Coach for primitive camping! We use hammocks and the trees are the perfect distance at the camp sites. We love being right on the water and the swimming hole is great! Also love the the trail goes alongside the river so the kids and paddle down and we can walk to meet them at the swimming hole." This highlights the excellent setup for hammock camping and the fantastic river access for swimming and paddling, along with accompanying trails for family fun.
The convenience factor is also a major plus: "I love that we can order wood or ice on the website and they drop it off!" This thoughtful service makes camping easier and more enjoyable. The flexibility of the resort is also highly appreciated, as another guest shared, "Weather was not in our favor for the original weekend we schedule and they helped get us moved to a weekend that worked for us ($15 fee to shift reservations)." This willingness to accommodate changes demonstrates a true commitment to customer service.
For RVers, especially those with larger rigs, The Red Coach Resort proves equally welcoming. A visitor with a "43" 5th wheel" who stayed for six weeks while visiting family commented, "We love this resort! The communication with staff is always excellent. It is easy access to the resort with our 43" 5th wheel. If you are unsure when booking a site which is right for you just call and they will be happy to help. Thank you for a great visit. Jun 22, 2025 · Elizabeth CraneThis was our second stay at Red Coach Resort. Our stay was 6 weeks while in the area visiting family. We love this resort! Jul 03, 2025 · Nancy MichelsRed coach resort is truly a hidden Gem. The grounds are very clean and well kept up. We stayed in the primitive camping area and were pleasantly surprised. We loved getting the nature vibe. Each primitive site has its own picnic table and fire pit ring with grill grate. Some of the sites are next to a pond while others are along the creek bed. So beautiful! We will definitely be returning and can’t wait to book our next trip.
May 10, 2025 · Savannah Leighton MusicWe will stay here again. A great location for visiting Huntsville. The best part is that it was quiet and we slept with our windows open so we could listen to the frogs/insects while going to sleep. There was no highway noise or anything like that. The utility connections (water/electricity/sewer) were all in good condition and easy to connect. Free wifi was strong and antenna tv channels were clear. The internal roads & sites are all new white gravel - so, not the smoothest driving, but, it did keep traffic speeds down. When we arrived, the registration was simple & easy using a posted QR code, but, it was a bit weird to never ever see an employee or be welcomed by a human. The only 2 minor downsides were (1) the access road off the highway is a bit difficult to see especially at night - if our phone didn’t tell us to turn we would have missed it. A bright neon arrow sign would be nice (2) some other inconsiderate camper allowed their light brown hound dog/lab mix to run around all over the campground. The dog should have been on a leash.
Apr 21, 2025 · David MillerThis quick stop for us became our favorite part of our trip! The property is gorgeous, the people are kind and the reservation process was wonderful. There’s a great website that has all you need including a map to navigate the walking trails and vast property. The creeks and koi ponds with waterfalls added to the wonderful ambiance. My oldest daughter made a secret wish “to come back here again”. Highly recommend!
