The Re-Lode Reviews
Great spot to camp, especially if you are planning on climbing in the PMRP. Hot showers and free WiFi down at the bath house and large pavilion. You can walk from camp to all of the PMRP crags, or drive down the gravel access road - highly suggest a 4x4 vehicle with clearance. A's all around for the Re-Lode
Apr 14, 2025 · mike tThis place is a hidden gem! My girlfriends and I did the primitive campsite and the space was lovely to set up. Very beautiful and serene. The pond was great and the bathrooms are immaculate! They offer WiFi and the pavilion is darling! Close to the main road and convenient to drive to trails. My only suggestion is in the morning be prepared to wait for showers but if you go super early or later in the evening you can beat the rush.
Jun 15, 2025 · Brittany TaylorVery quiet and relaxing location. The property is very simple but very well prepped especially for the price. Everyone says the bath house is clean and nice, that is VERY true. I felt like we were staying at our family cabin and felt at home. Sherri was so helpful and truly cared about our stay! We can’t thank her enough for being so informative and honest. We have a 42ft 5th wheel and had plenty of space in RV site 1. Water and 50 amp power all worked excellent without any issues. If I travel across the country again I will be coming back. You can’t get a better value than this campground. It’s close to red river gorge and many trails. Thank you again for the amazing experience!
Apr 12, 2025 · Josh PerkinsWe stayed in the RV area. This is a work in progress and has SO much potential! We enjoyed our stay here. It's location is right at a very popular climbing and hiking area! The shower/bath house is very clean and well kept. And there's a washing machine and dryer for campers to use. Plus, there's a huge pavilion with picnic tables. The only caveat is that the RV campground is best suited for camper vans and smaller travel trailers. This is only due to the public roads into the campground, no fault of the owners. We brought in a 34 foot fifth wheel trailer and it was very tight going. But we loved this place and would return when in the area.
Apr 04, 2025 · benthere422The cabin itself was nice, and the beds were comfy. The rest of the furniture not so much. There was a really nice gigantic picnic table in the main room, but it's so big, it takes up the entire room and nobody can hardly get to it to sit down on the back side. So, you have a table that takes up most of the room and if you sit more than one person, it tips over. The futon is worthless as a seat but is a wonderful medieval torture device if you decide to try and sleep on it. There's nothing else to sit on if you don't bring your own chairs, so beware. The TV was on the wall behind the huge table, perpendicular to the futon, so if you did want to watch it, you'll have to turn completely sideways or attempt to lay down. With a smaller table behind the steps it the kitchen and a decent futon, the main room would be much more open. Put the futon where the giant picnic table was and move the TV to the wall by the door, and you'd have a much more accommodating cabin for when the weather gets bad like it did for us and force us indoors to entertain ourselves. The resort itself is nice, and I liked the covered picnic area and fishing lake. The host was very helpful and easy to reach, and there was no difficulty checking in. We just showed up and put in the code she gave us. There's no range in the kitchen, and the coffee maker makes terrible coffee, but I knew about the range beforehand. The two hotplates worked great, and the fridge was big and kept all our stuff cold all weekend. Be careful plugging things in because the breakers will switch with more than one thing plugged in at a time on most outlets. The bathroom was large and the shower clean and hot. For the price, the cabin was great, but the furniture situation earned it's 3 stars.Update*there are pictures on the website, but they do not indicate that you won't be able to comfortably sit anywhere inside. We did not expect luxury for the price and were very happy with the resort itself. I mentioned how nice the beds, bathroom, and host were at first.Changing the listing to "sleeps 4" would make a hell of a change and would've impacted my initial rating. Just because there are pictures online doesn't mean they show, or I expect to be able to see every amenity of the property or how well it may function. I don't expect luxury but it would be nice for us to be able to use what furniture is in there considering it takes up all kinds of the space. I have an extra futon and was going to offer as a donation to replace the one mentioned in my review upon our next stay, but considering I cannot read or look at pictures online, I'll donate it here locally instead and stay elsewhere.
