The Crosseyed Cricket isn't just any campground; it's a destination that evokes fond memories for many who have visited over the years. Originally known for its beloved fishing ponds and restaurant (which, as some long-time visitors may recall, are no longer active, having closed around 2010), it has evolved while retaining its core charm as a family-friendly and community-oriented camping spot. What truly sets this campground apart is its emphasis on creating a comfortable "home away from home" atmosphere, whether you're in a tent, pop-up, trailer, or motorhome. The reviews consistently highlight the "friendly staff" and the "family atmosphere," suggesting a place where guests feel welcomed and at ease. It's a testament to the enduring appeal of simple pleasures: pitching a tent under shady trees, enjoying a refreshing swim, or gathering around a campfire. While the operations may have shifted over time, the spirit of creating "memories waiting for everyone" remains at the heart of The Crosseyed Cricket. This makes it an ideal choice for Tennesseans looking for a dependable and inviting spot to escape the everyday, connect with nature, and build new traditions with loved ones.

- Wooded and Shady Sites: The "tons of trees" and "heavily wooded" campsites provide ample natural shade, offering a cooler and more private camping environment, especially appreciated during Tennessee summers.
- Diverse Site Options: With a mix of back-in, pull-thru, and individual tent sites, the campground caters to various preferences and vehicle sizes, ensuring "something just for you."
- Affordable Rates: Nightly rates for back-in and tent sites are $25.00 + tax, and pull-thru sites are $27.00 + tax, making it a budget-friendly option for families and groups.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I visited the cross eyed cricket with family when the fishing ponds and the restaurant were open. It was one of the most memorable experiences in our lives, it's a shame you weren't able to lease them out. It was a great concept-fun-engaging, the look on the children's faces when they hooked one-priceless! Thanks for the memories!

July 07 · Just MeI travel with my husband from town to town with his job. We have been to a lot of RV parks and The Crosseyed Cricket is my favorite place ever. They have monthly spots and daily sites. It is so beautiful there. The lakes the ducks, the trees everywhere the huge fish shaped pool. This place is like heaven I think. The cricket is clean and the staff is wonderful. The owners are great, they really care about you and making your stay wonderful. The grandkids came to visit and loved playing in the creek and listening to the water run over the rocks is awesome. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. They are a perfect 10 in my book. My dog even loved the creek too. Check out my pictures!
August 19 · Wendy VanderhoofI have been going to the Crosseyed Cricket since I was a kid, and when I had a family of my own, I brought my kids there. It is a peaceful, quiet, serene place off the beaten path. The owners are some of the nicest people I've known, and will go out of their way to accommodate anyone. The sites are spacious, clean and well-kept. I've recommended the campground to many friends over the years, and will continue to do so.
