The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Reviews
We stayed here in March for spring break. We are avid Disney fans and love the resorts, but this was way more affordable for our family of six.I will say if you are into camping, it’s pretty good. There are multiple places to eat and activities. However, we stayed in a cabin and we basically had to beg for service and for them to clean. The cabin slept 6, but they only provide towels for 3. The blankets are super thin fleece ones. They don’t provide towels at the pool like a normal Disney resort. It just didn’t have the magic that staying in a resort did.
Apr 21, 2025 · Stephanie HA few notes on this place. First, there are only really three negatives, or cons if you will. First, I wish there was more storage for food and water. Some of the cabinet space was utilized for what appears to be the wifi and the other is used for the vent for the stove/microwave. The second thing is (and mind you this is more of a personal opinion then anything) the drywall work appears to have been done very sloppy and the floor did not seem to be level. I mention this for two reasons. One, these cabins are newer and should not have issues like this, with the amount of money that is spent on staying in a Disney Resort. Second, I am someone who is a contractor and I always look at others work. I believe I could have done better. Again my opinion on that. Finally, the third, can we put more shade structures up and over the playgrounds. The kids love playing at the playground on our off park days. The equipment though was really hot! Now, for the good, the pros... THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! I was completely shocked at how much I truly loved this place. Having a full kitchen is a money saver, having a full fridge and freezer money saver. My family and I save over $600 on bottled water alone. The pull down bed in the living room was acceptable as my wife and I slept there and gave the kids the bedroom. We rented a golf cart which is a must when staying here. Beats waiting for the bus to get to other parts of the resort. There is a lot of stuff for everyone to do. From archery to horseback riding and carriage rides, to basketball courts and volleyball nets. Can't wait to come back!
May 22, 2025 · Jimmy GlennMe and my family went to Disney Fort wilderness spring break this year. I have to say it is awesome. The campground itself is just wonderful one of the things that I would definitely change which I’m still gonna give a five star review on because the campground was amazing, Is you do need to have Propane refills or where people can actually buy a propane tank seeing how it is a very expensive campground so people won’t have to drive off of the campground to go to Publix or Walmart to get refills. Every other campground that we’ve been to has had refills on propane this will help out the campground so much because not only were we there for one week, but we had no propane for our camper because we ran out, and we did not want to leave the campground so we just used the showers that were available which no problem but however, once again if it’s expensive, the campground itself then there should be propane on the campground. Please bring your own propane and even an extra tank. The front office was not very clear on why they didn’t have propane. The lady just said the guy that handled the propane before COVID has retired. However, there are plenty of companies out there that would do this. Plus it’s Disney. The money this place brings in there should PROPANE!!! We did love the deer , the turkeys and rabbits we saw. We also loved the HOOP DEE DOO Revue. There are so many friendly people we met here and it was a pleasure. The pools are so nice and so much fun. The campground is super clean and the slabs are nice and level. They have ponies and horses and my kids rode the ponies. They also had kayaks and canoes and ride did the kayaks. Super fun. They have scavenger hunts. We will be back during Christmas. 🎄 GIVE THIS CAMPGROUND A TRY. You will deff not regret it. It’s pretty awesome.
Apr 03, 2025 · Jacob RevelsCamp sites are well spaced, level, large, and have no real direct line of sight to other camp sites. Electric and water were in good working order.Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Ice machines are located at each bath house, though the one in our loop was out of order and the one in the next loop over malfunctioned.Pools were clean and not over busy.Night time kids program was canceled due to lightning in the area.Buses run to all the parks on a regular schedule.Biting flies were everywhere. But what can you do, it's Florida.Checking and checkout was simple and fast.If you're looking for a bargain with easy Disney access, this is the place.
Jun 17, 2025 · Tim LincolnWe went here for the first time and… it was magical. We stayed in our tent… such a nice, happy place to disconnect from daily hustle and stress of life. All workers are amazingly nice, transportation every 5 minutes in case you didn’t get a golf cart, the amenities -bathrooms, showers, restaurants, shop, campfire, activities- TOP NOTCH! We will come back FOR SURE!
