Ten Sleep Rock Ranch is more than just a campground; it’s a vibrant hub for outdoor enthusiasts, particularly those drawn to the world-class climbing of Ten Sleep Canyon. Located in the beautiful and rugged landscape of Wyoming, this establishment has cultivated a unique community atmosphere that blends the rustic charm of camping with essential modern conveniences. From the serene creek that meanders through the property to the mature apple trees that provide natural shade and seasonal fruit, the ranch offers a picturesque setting for a memorable getaway. It's a place where you can relax by a picnic table after a day of adventure, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and connect with like-minded individuals. While it has become a staple for the climbing community, its amenities and welcoming environment make it an appealing option for any traveler or family seeking a special place to stay in Wyoming.
The core identity of Ten Sleep Rock Ranch is rooted in its dedication to the climbing community, but its appeal extends far beyond that niche. As one reviewer noted, it’s a "climbers home" but is open to all. The on-site services, including Wi-Fi, community refrigerators, and a shared social area, create a comfortable and social environment that feels less like a traditional campground and more like a well-equipped retreat. This balance of being close to nature while having access to key amenities is a significant part of its charm. The owners are committed to maintaining the property and providing a supportive, well-run space for their guests. This is evident in the constant improvements, such as the addition of more sinks, which shows they listen to customer feedback. While there may be a debate about certain policies, like quiet hours, it's clear that the ranch aims to create a functional and respectful environment for everyone, from hardcore climbers to a family on a road trip.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We stayed 2 nights at Ten Sleep Rock Ranch. Cabin was clean comfortable. The campground itself is beautiful. When we were there in Sept there were lots of apples on the trees. The creek running through the camp ground is beautiful and peaceful. The tent camping sites are quite small and close together but the fee seems very reasonable for tenting. There are refrigerators and a microwave for guest use. We stayed in a cabin but I felt the price was quite high considering that the bathrooms were not working and you had to use a Porta potty. There is an extra charge to use the showers.
October 10 · Norm SeeleyReally exceptional location and camp run by an awesome pair of climbers. It really is luxurious to have WiFi, showers, toilets and sinks. The grounds are well kept and the ever growing deck space is an awesome place to spend a rest day. I know many climbers, myself included, who stay for the entire summer/fall season.However:1 single sink in a place with hundreds of climbers is a pretty wild concept. Another sink would be really nice. (UPDATE: there's two sinks now and it's a HUGE upgrade)More importantly though: Quiet Hours at 10PM is stupid. Climbers cover a wide variety of lifestyles from the weekend warriors, to the remote gigs, and the absolute dirtbags. It's a busy campground, often crammed full, and it's next to a highway. Not to mention that the outdoors is just a noisy place in general. If a little noise keeps you up at night--wear ear plugs or deal with it. Forcing silent hours on everyone to accommodate the few workers stamps down on the evening social culture in favor of those who often are just visiting anyway. In recent experience, being quiet simply wasn't enough. Those who would complain to management expected absolute silence. This isn't a children's summer camp and having a hard curfew for all feels like a poor solution. I understand having quiet hours to mean "no loud partying" but it shouldn't mean "you literally can't make a noise or the weekenders will complain". Maybe a better policy would be "sometimes it's loud. It's a campground. Grow up, wear ear plugs, or deal with it."
June 20 · Josh RuhlmanThis place is the place to stay for climbers. I have never been to a better camp site than this, The site is full of characters and amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The owners are working hard improving and maintaining this place! Not to mention that they are very friendly and kind, offered us their truck for day use when our car was dead and called the mobile mechanic for us. Never take kind people like them as granted, come and stay, you will not be disappointed.
April 28 · Simon MaiI didn’t stay overnight, but the daytime visitor amenities are wonderful and an extremely reasonable price. While I’m not a climber, the vibe is great and the scenery fantastic. Stop by for a shower, to make your picnic lunch, or a quick swim in Ten Sleep Creek. Thanks for being so welcoming to those of us passing through!
June 07 · Ellen WhittleWe really enjoyed our stay and thought the place was beautiful and cool. We are not climbers which is what the place seemed to be centered around but found it inviting nonetheless. We rented a cabin and it was comfortable and the price for camping was crazy cheap @$5 a person. Showers are $2 which is reasonable. There is a community fridge and sitting area. I think personal space is a little different for climbers than it is others so be prepared for others to be about 5 to 10 feet too close. Avoid the negative reviews about this place, it was a highlight of my trip.
