The atmosphere at Temple Bar is a key part of its charm. As one reviewer noted, the campground is "very quiet," allowing for a peaceful stay. While some sites may be small, they are perfectly suited for trailers and RVs, providing a cozy and private spot to call your own. The location on the water is a major draw, offering an excellent opportunity to escape the Arizona heat. Guests can enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the lake and the incredible starry nights, which are a direct result of the area's remote location. The sense of community is also strong, with many guests reporting that they were "treated like one of the team" by fellow campers and staff, which creates a welcoming and friendly environment for all.

What is worth choosing Temple Bar Campground
Choosing Temple Bar Campground is an excellent decision for the Arizona resident who seeks a unique combination of peaceful camping and water-based recreation. The primary reason to choose this campground is its fantastic location on Lake Mead. While many campgrounds are landlocked, Temple Bar provides immediate access to one of the Southwest's most iconic bodies of water. This means you can spend your days boating, fishing, and swimming, and your evenings relaxing by a campfire, all within a short walk of your campsite. The dual nature of the experience—part tranquil camping, part adventurous lake resort—is a huge draw. The on-site services, including the café and store with their surprisingly low prices, make this a convenient and affordable option. The positive reviews about the outstanding service from the staff further solidify its reputation as a welcoming and reliable destination.
For those who travel in an RV, the availability of full hookups is a major advantage, providing a comfortable stay without sacrificing the beauty of nature. For tent campers, the quiet and peaceful atmosphere ensures a restful night's sleep under a sky full of stars. The "dogs allowed" policy makes it a great spot for the entire family, including pets. While a reviewer mentioned that the marina facilities might seem a bit old, the service and food quality more than make up for it. The hope that the water level stays high is a testament to how central the lake is to the overall experience. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wonderful location. We rented an RV spot and all of the owners there treated us like one of the team. Such nice folks. Now for the best part, the General Manager Nathan was amazing. He was so accommodating to us, had someone parked there boat in our spot and didn't even blink an eye and helped us grab a new RV spot. Had a wonderful conversation as well. The Bar and Cafe seems really old and ran down, but the service made up for all that!! And the food was excellent with amazing cheap prices you would not see anywhere else on the water. Hopefully the water level stays up so we can come again and enjoy another excellent weekend!!
June 19 · John&Amy BrownVery quiet campground. Sites were small. but for us. no problem with our 20ft trailer.
December 28 · Sharon ChaviraDid a little recon trip for future camping trips. Nice little spot near the lake. Came out in March so cooler weather. Sites are a little small compared to a lot of other campgrounds, but good enough for a couple tents. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Trees all around, but I imagine may not help too much under the summer sun and heat. Store is about 1/4 mile away, so easy stroll. Restaurant/Bar being renovated with anticipated reopening Memorial Day 2021.
March 11 · Slumdog GumpA wonderful little gem of a campground! We were there in early March and there was only three other campers.Plenty of shade with eucalyptus, Olive, palm and oleander bushes throughout the whole campground. Makes every little campsite nice and cozy. The water is quite far away these days, but accessible and the well-stocked Marina store will have just about anything you could need. This is the first come first serve campground, but I've heard a rumor that this may change. But for now, don't tell anyone cuz I want to keep this one a secret.
March 07 · Zach GambinoLove this place! Will be going back every chance I get!Campground was clean and beautifulBathrooms were conveniently locatedWe walked to the store and bought the kiddos popsicles and sat on picnic tables near-by. The store has everything you forgot and more! The staff was extremely friendly-like we had known them for years! The lake was as beautiful and peaceful as EVER!Amazing weekend place-could've stayed longer for sure!
