Sweetwater Campground - Allatoona Lake

1400 Fields Chapel Rd, Canton, GA 30114, USA

4.0
Sites were small, but perfect for our group of 8 to split between 2 adjoining ones. Each site appears to have its own spicket and firepit (and attached grill!!), plus a picnic table and a laundry line pole which we used to hang our trash bags on. We didnt have any issues with critters getting into things (although the 2 dogs may have detered anything), but there were quite a few black ants that just randomly appeared covering any food stuffs on the ground (i.e. food prep n dog food), but no fire ants as far as I could tell. Would absolutely come back in a heart beat, as it gets hotter im sure the lake will become a popular swim/water sport spot. - Jamieson Livingston
