Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort Reviews
What an amazing weekend at the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort in Mayo, FL. We rented the Chalet and I was able to get around everywhere with my scooter. The girls went kayaking, they swam in the springs. we all enjoyed the pool. It was sooo quiet out there, no traffic, no planes, no emergency vehicles; just the birds and the animals. I think I even heard a black bear huff in the woods, the owls were great chatterboxes, and we had feral kittens at the back door. We even pulled out the telescope to do some star gazing. And we finished the weekend off with a birthday celebration! We rented the Chalet because of the ADA rating. We were all very comfortable, but If I had to make only one very serious request... it would be to please put a tall toilet in the shower bathroom.
Jun 11, 2025 · Carolanne Le BlancStayed here memorial weekend good park. The only thing I would recommend to management is to allow children to go play in the rec center without adults. My kids wanted to go to the rec center a lot. But I didnt want to spend the whole camping trip sitting watching my kids in the rec center.Besides that it was a good trip
May 28, 2025 · Justin LyonWe planned our trip to stay here for several days but had to make a last minute change to stay only 1 night. After getting settled in and biking around the campground, we really wish we could have kept our original plans! This is a beautiful, well kept campground! The sites are spacious and easily accessible for a large rig. We have a 40’ 5th wheel. The campground is quiet and peaceful. There is a nice peaceful spot to sit in a swing and overlook the river at the back of the tent camping area. Make sure you take advantage of the mobile food vendor. The half pound bacon cheeseburger and home made fries was very good! The front office staff was friendly and helpful to explain all the amenities. Bing your bike and / or the golf cart. I highly recommend this campground and look forward to coming back when we can stay longer!
Mar 12, 2025 · Wes TaylorI recently stayed in river view room 11. It is listed as occupancy up to 6 people.I sent the front office a private email and received no response. Because of this lack of response I am posting my email here.I am very disappointed at the lack of reasonable customer service at Suwannee River Rendezvous.***************************************I wanted to provide feedback from our recent stay at The Rendezvous.I am familiar with your property since I have camped, stayed in the Treehouse and in one of hilltop rooms.I understand the facilities are old and 'rustic', which is fine, but there is no reason our room wasn't properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The floors were gritty and there were dead bugs on the window sills and floors. There were two empty soda bottles under the nightstand cubby in the loft.Additionally, we were not provided with bedding for the fold out couch for the first night of our stay. And the couch was a bare foam mattress without a slip cover. I went back to the office after our check in on Sunday to request bedding and was told that someone would drop it at our room.We went into Branford for dinner. When we returned later in the evening imagine my disappointment that no bedding had been delivered. Furthermore, it is inexplicable to me why the couch would not have a cover on it. Even if we didn't need it as a bed, sitting on an bare piece of foam mattress felt very unsanitary. We ended up taking the top sheets off both beds in the loft so that my 8 year old grandson would have something to sleep in. At least we had a kid's stuffed animal to use as a pillow since there were 5 us and only 4 pillows provided. When I went back to the office on Monday morning to request bedding again, I let the person staffing the desk know that I was unhappy with the condition of our room. I received an "I'm sorry."While my other stays at The Rendezvous have been fine, this visit was well below any reasonable level of cleanliness. There is no good excuse for lack of cleanliness. Your housekeeping staff needs to up their game.Sincerely,Renny "not a happy camper"
Jul 03, 2025 · R BroderickWe love this place. We have been here a few times. We camped primitive and have stayed in the hill top rooms. Both experiences were great! Lots to do for the entire family. I am comfortable bringing my kiddos here. We plan to continue planning trips here. All of the staff is pleasant and fun.
