While Sun Valley Campground is known for its accommodating nature and straightforward approach, it primarily offers value through its affordable base rates and Good Sam affiliation rather than complex, frequently changing promotions. Based on available information and common practices for such campgrounds, Ohio residents might find the following "offers":
Good Sam Park Affiliation: Sun Valley Campground is a Good Sam RV Park. Members of the Good Sam Club can typically receive a 10% discount on nightly rates. This is a consistent benefit for a widely recognized camping membership program.
Competitive Nightly Rates: The campground offers generally competitive nightly rates (e.g., around $60 for RV sites with water/electric/sewer, and $40-45 for tent sites). While prices can vary (as noted in one review about inconsistent charges), the base rates are designed to be accessible, especially for short-term and overnight stays.
Extended Stay Options: Sun Valley Campground offers various rate structures for longer stays, including weekly ($280 per week for campsites) and monthly ($600 per month for campsites) rates, providing significant savings for those planning more extended visits. They also have seasonal and residential site options with specific pricing, catering to longer-term occupants.
Honor System Firewood: The unique "honor system" for firewood purchase ($1 per log) can be seen as a convenience and a form of value, allowing campers easy and affordable access to a key camping amenity.
Inclusion of Swimming/Fishing for Campers: For registered campers, swimming in the pond and fishing are typically included in the camping fee, adding value without additional charges for these popular activities.
It is important to confirm current rates and any potential discounts directly with the campground at the time of booking, as policies and prices can be subject to change. Given their cash/check-only payment policy for on-site transactions, be prepared with these methods.

Sun Valley Campground Reviews
Sept. 2024: It was very accommodating and very convenient. We were traveling to Massachusetts and it was a last-minute impromptu stop. We called and asked if she had space for a 24 ft RV, with a 30 amp: it worked out very nicely. You buy the firewood from her on the honor System @ a $1 per log. It worked out well for us and I actually bought an extra five sticks for 5 bucks and really enjoyed the short brief time there. Perfect for what we were doing, traveling... not camping per se. We definitely recommend this spot it was very clean and accommodating.
Jan 19, 2025 · N RWe found ourselves needing a campsite about 7pm on a Saturday for a one night stay. We pulled up to the campground and were immediately greeted by the woman at the office. She was less than welcoming and made a few snide comments. We did get a campsite for the night however. Campground was very well kept, safe, and quiet. No credit cards here, just cash or check. No prices listed on the board outside of the office. We paid $40 for a water/electric site. Our camp neighbor with a similar setup told us that she had been charged $45. 🤔 We felt the woman charged whatever she felt like at that time. Overall I’d stay again if I needed a quick unplanned site.
Jun 09, 2024 · AimeeWe were able to get a campsite last minute while on the road. The owner was so nice. We had electric and water. It was very clean and looked like a nice site with a combo of permanent and temporary campers.
Oct 19, 2024 · Jessica LynnWe just stopped for one quick night, so we didn't get a chance to really explore the playground or anything. This is the Spirit Airlines of campgrounds. They nickel and dime you for everything, and their prices are not transparent. We ended up paying $50 for one night with just water and electric. The sites are small and not well designed. Our electric hookup was closer to the front of our rig than the back. We didn't put our slides out. If we had, it would have been up against the neighbor's picnic table. The spot was gravel, but it was extremely coarse.
