Stony Creek Campground Reviews
Have camped here multiple times. The absolute best campground in Sequoia if you want to get away from the zoo at Lodgepole. It’s quiet, has a fantastic creek nearby, daily visits by deer, and around the corner is a small grocery store, showers, and the only fuel in the park.
Jun 27, 2025 · Nate LoperRating is not 3, but 3.5.The low rating is due to how close the sites are to each other. My neighbors tents were about 3 meters from mine.I recommend you go across the street to the Upper Stony Creek Campground, as those sites are quite separated and have a lot of nice walking areas. There are also some sites on the lower part of this campground that are separated, but the first ones around the entrance are really bad and close to each other.
Jun 30, 2025 · Kinich AhauGreat campground for a semi-rustic campground. The hosts Ed and Patty were outstandingly helpful. The facilities (pit toilet) might have been the cleanest pit system I have ever seen. Access to the marketplace store less than 1 mile up the road with WiFi and a good selection of camping essentials, and a self serve gas station.Ed went out of his way to be of help when needed.Highly recommended!
Sep 03, 2024 · P eteStony Creek is a great quiet place to relax and enjoy nature. The campsite are spread out and bathrooms are cleaned each day. Everyone was very friendly. I will go back
Jul 04, 2025 · David RodriguezI won't go back until that old man leaves his post... he was rude.. he didn't like everything, where my dog was sitting, that the leash was tied incorrectly, the fire was too big (I couldn't make it lower, because there was an old burnt-out grate below - site 42) and that I was doing it too late, but I clearly came to rest, and not just sleep, every time he drove by, he came and expressed his dissatisfaction, in short, you sit and wait for him to arrive and start bothering you again, he specifically ruined my opinion of this campground , I've been vacationing in Sequoia for the 3rd year, but I've never encountered such disrespectful attitude, we were getting ready to leave at 11:50 because check out is at 12, he came very angry that we were still there and kicked us out, poured a bucket of water into the fire pit and I left covered in ashes …
