Absolutely awesome! Yes, Stoney Fork Campground checks all the "boxes" for me. While it is a small campground (only 9 sites) it is BIG in what counts. It is quiet, has beautiful ambiance with the spring-fed stream behind all 9 sites, and has great people, many of whom are long-term campers. It has full hook-ups, nice level sites with picnic tables and a fire pit. Jim and Kathy (owners) are wonderful people and after our 6-day stay, are now our friends. This is now our "go to" campground for a peaceful, relaxing get away. If you are looking for a slice of "camping heaven", look no further than Stoney Fork Campground.Robert and Lauren.
Nov 18, 2024 · Robert NewtonWe arrived here in march 2024 and planned to stay for a few months while we looked for a home. We took off to travel and had our spot reserved when we returned. The owners as a good as they come. The sites are separated nicely by bushes. We will be back here when we are in the area without a doubt. Close to the mountain towns of Boone and West Jefferson plus not far from Charlotte and Asheville. The best campground we’ve stayed in and we’ve traveled across Canada and thru 44 states.
Oct 27, 2024 · James HuberMy husband and I drove to this campground today, just to check it out, hoping this might be a good area for a little weekend getaway. Are all the campsites for travel campers there permanently? I didn't see a one that was vacant. It's a very, very small campground. Most every travel camper that was there was set up permanently. Highly disappointed.
Oct 19, 2024 · Diane PadgettI’m glad we stumbled upon this little gem of a campground. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very well maintained and full hook up was a definite plus. The backdrop was the most peaceful and beautiful creek I’ve ever seen. We really enjoyed our stay! Hope to be back if we’re lucky enough to snag another spot!
May 08, 2023 · Jane NicholsThe Stoney Fork Bed & Breakfast was lovely! Out of the way, but easy to find, the B&B was situated in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. The home was charming and the room and bath accommodations exceeded our expectations. The proprietors are a friendly and delightful couple with whom we really enjoyed talking. Not only were they very accommodating with dietary restrictions, but they also included such lovely, thoughtful details such as stocking the bathroom with homemade soaps and bath salts, sending us home with a dozen fresh eggs and taking the time to walk us around the property to see the baby chicks.
