- Restrooms: Clean vault toilets (outhouses) are available for campers' convenience. Reviewers frequently praise the cleanliness of these facilities, with some even noting they "smelt good."

- Bear Boxes: Many campsites are equipped with bear boxes for safe food storage, which is vital in areas with wildlife.
- Camp Hosts: Friendly and helpful camp hosts are typically on-site, contributing to the positive atmosphere and assisting campers.
- Affordable Fees: The campground is noted for its very affordable nightly rate, often around $5 per night, with an additional fee for extra vehicles. This makes it an excellent budget-friendly option.
- First-Come, First-Served: Most sources indicate that sites at Steel Bridge Campground are available on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning no reservations are typically accepted. This allows for spontaneous trips but advises early arrival during peak seasons.
- Trash Management: While specific mention of trash cans can vary, general BLM guidelines for similar campgrounds suggest a "pack it in, pack it out" policy for all waste, though some may have collection points. Always plan to pack out all your trash.
Steel Bridge Campground's primary highlights stem from its tranquil setting and direct access to the Trinity River.
- Riverside Location: The campground is situated directly on the banks of the Trinity River, offering immediate access to its clear, cold waters. This is a significant draw for fishing and other water activities.

Aug 22, 2023 · Tim ClarkGreat campground next to the Trinity River. There was a picnic table, fire ring, and bear proof food storage container. Plenty of room for our 8 person tent. Lots of wild blackberries to pick and they were amazing to eat! There was a nice path down to the river and it was quiet all night long.
