Starrett Lake Campground Reviews
Peaceful quiet & serene campground on Starrett Lake. Site #1331 is right on the lake. Sandy beach and perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking. Fishing was good. Loved the loons calling in the morning and evening. Designated quiet campground so no generators or other noise devices. No electric or potable water. They do have the old fashioned hand pump for water. Barbara the camp host was delightful. We had a 25 ft travel trailer and our solar worked great. Definitely will come back.
Jun 02, 2025 · Julie BahrStarrett Lake is the perfect campground for tranquility! Beautiful quiet lake, spacious campsites, and the friendliest campground manager (Barb) ever! The restrooms are spotless and makes you forget the lack of running water and flush toilets. What is more rustic than pumping your own fresh cool water from the hand pump? If you love the outdoors, peaceful and quiet, this lake is for you.
Sep 26, 2024 · Diane RoznowskiWe've camped in the Northern Highland American Legion Forest campground for years, and Starette is definitely our favorite. Be aware, though, that it is a designated quiet campground, so you can't use generators, and there are no electric or water hookups, so it may not be suitable for some campers.
Jul 13, 2024 · Daniel DillonBeautiful, clear lake with a small quiet campground. We enjoyed camping here and watching the loons. The bathrooms were new and very clean. The campground is a little out of the way, off of a gravel road.
