Owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the camp is a well-known and trusted venue for ward and stake youth groups, but its features make it a fantastic option for any large gathering. The camp offers a blend of rustic charm and essential amenities, creating a perfect environment for group activities and shared memories.
Starpoint Recreation Camp is a "great camp area that has everything you need for a large group," as noted by past visitors. Its layout and facilities are specifically tailored to support bigger parties, from its spacious kitchen area to its large, open fields. This focus on group-friendly infrastructure is a major part of its appeal. The camp’s affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means it is managed with a commitment to providing a safe, clean, and wholesome environment for all who visit. This reputation for quality and care ensures that you can plan your event with confidence, knowing the facilities will be well-maintained and ready for your group's arrival.
A key highlight of Starpoint is the ability to handle meal preparation for a crowd. With amenities like a kitchen area equipped with refrigeration, freezers, and griddles, you can prepare large meals with relative ease, making it much simpler to feed a hungry group of campers. The large grass areas provide ample space for a wide range of activities, from sports to team-building exercises, ensuring that there's never a dull moment. While some visitors have mentioned the presence of flies, it is a small inconvenience for what is an otherwise "wonderful" experience in a beautiful natural setting. The camp’s proximity to a reservoir is also a major draw, adding another layer of recreation to your stay.

What is worth choosing
Choosing Starpoint Recreation Camp is a decision to select a venue that is specifically tailored for a successful group event. The primary reason to choose this camp is its robust infrastructure for large parties. Unlike a standard campground where a big group might feel cramped or have to coordinate multiple separate sites, Starpoint provides a cohesive and well-equipped space. The presence of a kitchen area with refrigeration and griddles is an invaluable asset, simplifying the logistics of feeding a large number of people. The dedicated Wi-Fi also helps with group communication, which is a major convenience in a more remote setting.
Furthermore, the location is ideal. Situated close to a reservoir, it offers built-in entertainment options beyond the camp itself. Whether it’s fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the scenic views, the surrounding area provides plenty of opportunities for fun and relaxation. The fact that the camp is designed with children in mind, with a large grass area for play, makes it an excellent choice for family reunions and youth camps. The reputation of the camp as a clean, safe, and well-managed facility provides peace of mind for event organizers. While it may be cold at night in June and have some bugs in July, as noted by a reviewer, these are minor trade-offs for a truly well-equipped and beautiful group camp. For any group in Utah looking for a reliable, full-featured, and scenic location for their next big gathering, Starpoint Recreation Camp is a top-tier choice that promises a memorable and hassle-free experience.

Great camp area that has everything you need for a large group. Kitchen area, refrigeration, freezers, griddles, WiFi, large grass area for various activities.Additionally it is very close to the reservoir. All around a great camp area. June is best time to go, though it will be cold at night you can at least avoid the all the bugs that come with July.
