Stampede Run Reviews
Darlene & Rick are wonderful hosts. We broke down and they graciously let us stay, and put up a private coral for our horses, when they weren't in their stalls. They have a fabulous shower and washroom. Plenty hot water, clean and beautifully decorated. The outside kitchen was useful and beautiful. Very quiet, private, and peaceful. There was shavings for the stalls, firewood for cold nights. And they sold ice on the property, For hot days. We went sightseeing.Nearby. There was beautiful waterfalls, an arch rock formations. We had an injured horse, so we didn't get to ride. But the forest trail was accessed right from your campsite. We really enjoyed ourselves under the circumstances of being stranded without a truck to pull our horse trailer. We will definitely come back to stay and hopefully get to ride the trails. We'd love to see Darlene, and Rick again. Thank you, we had a great stay, you made a stressful situation relaxing. Thank you. Your place is beautiful.

You can access the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail from this camp. Campground is very nice with water and electric hookups, very nice bathhouse and restrooms, fire rings at the campsite, and a pavilion with a kitchen. Horse barn/stalls are also very nice. Pack a lunch and enjoy the ride!
Aug 16, 2022 · Kenny BaskinWonderful hosts, great trails for horseback riding or hiking. Outdoor cooking area, water and electric at sites. Clean restroom and shower.
Oct 21, 2024 · Momzah McdonaldGreat little horse camp. Tight grounds, but everyone gets together in the middle of the campground for fire and hangs out together. Not the place to go if you like to be private or do your own thing, it is a group place where strangers become friends immediately due to close quarters. Loved it!
