Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Walnut Grove Reviews
Very nice location, upon arrival we was greeted by the new management. Very nice lady. We had 6 sites and we asked about the 10% discount and never heard back from her. It is the first campground we have ever gone to for a holiday weekend and not 1 activity for the kids , the pool was not clean , and jump park was not inflated. No entertainment in the evening either. Most likely not to return.
May 26, 2025 · Scott CaronGREAT location. Very large sites with full hookups and large fire pit. I was very disappointed that the pool didn't open until 11am.... There is a VERY strict checkout time, so we didn't have a chance to use the pool at all. Let me stress to make sure you check out on time, or they WILL charge you a $25 fee... If it's after noon, it would jump to a $50 fee.... we asked staff and were told NO even though there were MANY open sites available (see pictures) We were excited however due to our experience, we will not be returning...
Jun 16, 2025 · Matt PriveDue to the negligence and mismanagement of a burn pile not being extinguished properly, my four children were accused of arson, by a seasonal guest (who was clearly intoxicated) as well as the park manager, who admitted that he “put the fire out by burying it”. My husband and I both told him that was not “putting the fire out”, and according to the forestry service website, a buried burn site can smolder for weeks before flaring back up. He did not listen. They even called the state police to come and question my kids. The officer believed my children (who said they had nothing to do with it and it was already smoking when we got to the campground), and that the fire did flare due to negligence on the part of the manager. We will NEVER go to that park nor any other park owned by Spacious Skies. And I will not recommend it to anyone.
Jan 18, 2025 · Bonnie GoodsonAwesome! I am a traveler and my daughter and I stayed at a seasonal site for the summer. It was a beautiful and quiet site. The campground is so clean and has awesome activities all season. The pool and playground, as well as all amenities, are very well maintained and CLEAN! Not to mention FUN! To top it off, it is run by the most helpful and kind people. We did not have any problems our entire May to October stay. We will 100% come back! Thank you!!
Oct 26, 2024 · Laura UpshawWe came into town with our kids for an event. All of the hotels/motels did not seem to have great ratings so we chose a cabin here. The cabin was very clean and spacious. There seemed to be a lot of seasonal campers and they were all very respectful and friendly and it was quiet at night so we were able to have the windows open to hear the crickets. We stopped in town beforehand to grab food and drinks for the fridge. The cabins were really close to the facilities which was a plus for restrooms/showers and things to do. Very family friendly and great staff and service. Our kids are already asking to go back! Thanks for a great experience =)
