South Shore Pavilion

4.0
Great place to relax with family - Pavillion is located across the road from the lakeshore. As a result, there is less wind at the pavillion than at the first come/first serve picnic tables closer to the shore. The waterview is excellent. This is an outdoor pavillion open to nature. It appears bats frequent the pavillion, which given the mosquitos in the area is a good thing. Be sure to bring a broom with you so you can do a quick sweep of the counter and the tables/benches. It isn't a big deal, shouldn't detour you from using the pavillion, I just wish I had known. We made do with pine branches, and paper towels. We used soap to clean out the sink. The sideboard counter is handy, the sink water works well. There are multiple BBQ's and one large grill. If you plan to use these, bring a wire brush to clean well prior to using. There are two trash cans near the pavillion. The tables are thick timbers so your usual tablecloth clamps will not work. It is a great facility, near restrooms, playground, and horseshoe pits. Well worth the price. - KJR

This makes South Shore Pavilion an excellent resource for Oregonians looking to host anything from a large family reunion to a community gathering, all within one of the state’s most beautiful national forests.
