South Park Campground Reviews
As a 30 years in a row veteran of doing the spring talladega nascar race, I can very honestly say this is the place to be if you want all the FREE space you want to take for your camping group. There are porta potties spread around, 2 bath houses, and it's well patrolled, in a loose kind of fashion. There's a nice creek to camp by, and plenty of wooded areas to camp. There is a paid section to the park also, but im more of a free kind of camper!!
Apr 27, 2025 · Tony RobinsonWe reserved a spot here and loved it!! We got in at 4am from Tampa and someone was already at the gate so we were able to get to our spot and powernap before the fun weekend started! The shower house also had a bunch of bathrooms, I'm glad I'm an evening bathroom/shower guy cuz every morning by 7 it was packed! The showers could use better pressure but the facilities were clean and the location of this camp was the best!!We also found a church group there who made breakfast, lunch and supper most the weekend where we met nice folks and won a raffle!I did not expect it to be soo awesome but it really really was!!
