Wonderfully located campsite near Baker. Quiet and well place campsites along river. More spacious than other campsites in area. Small and peaceful campsite away from RV's and such.Camp host - Lydia - very helpful. Although other sites in area were very nice as well, we preferred the smaller and more intimate nature of Silver Fir. Would be our first choice on the margin in the future. - Jonathan Kibrick

Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. It truly is a place that, despite any minor inconveniences, leaves a lasting impression of natural beauty and tranquility.

Location and Accessibility

Silver Fir Campground is wonderfully located on Mt Baker Hwy, Deming, WA 98244, USA, deep within the magnificent Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. This prime setting places it along the North Fork Nooksack River, offering stunning scenery and direct access to numerous recreational opportunities within the North Cascades of Washington. For residents across Washington, reaching the campground is a straightforward drive along State Route 542 (Mt. Baker Highway).

From Seattle, for example, you would head north on I-5 to Bellingham, then take exit 255 onto Sunset Drive/Mt. Baker Highway SR 542. Continue on SR 542 past the town of Glacier (about 20 minutes away for groceries and firewood) and proceed approximately 12.5 miles further to the campground. You’ll find the campground on the right (west) side of the highway after crossing the bridge over the North Fork Nooksack River, near mile post 46.
