Signal Mountain Campground Introduce
Welcome to the heart of Wyoming's natural splendor, where adventure and tranquility meet at Signal Mountain Campground. Situated on the southeastern shore of the majestic Jackson Lake within Grand Teton National Park, this campground offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the region's breathtaking landscape. For Wyoming locals and visitors alike, it provides a perfect basecamp for exploring the iconic Teton Range, enjoying a variety of recreational activities, and witnessing the abundant wildlife that calls this area home. Whether you're a seasoned RVer or a traditional tent camper, Signal Mountain Campground offers a comfortable and scenic retreat that caters to your outdoor needs.
The atmosphere here is one of peaceful coexistence with nature. The campsites are nestled within a lodgepole pine forest, offering a sense of privacy and seclusion while still being close to essential amenities. The campground’s design, with its three distinct loops, provides different experiences, from sites with electric hookups for RVs to a dedicated "generator-free" loop for those seeking a quieter, more rustic camping experience. The campground is also known for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities, contributing to a truly relaxing and hassle-free stay. Guests often speak of the laid-back vibe and the incredible sense of quiet at night, making it an ideal location for those who want to truly unplug and connect with the natural world.
Signal Mountain Campground is located in a prime spot within Grand Teton National Park, making it an excellent hub for exploration. The address is 1 Inner Park Rd, Moran, WY 83013, USA, placing it directly on the scenic Teton Park Road. This central location provides easy access to many of the park's most popular attractions. It is situated adjacent to Signal Mountain Lodge, which serves as a convenient access point for a variety of services. The campground sits on a hilly terrain with sites spread out, some of which are tiered.
Accessibility to the campground is straightforward via paved roads. The drive from the Moran entrance to the park is only about 15 minutes, while the south entrance to Yellowstone National Park is less than an hour away. This makes Signal Mountain an excellent spot for those planning to explore both of these world-famous parks. For those coming from Jackson, the drive is approximately 38 miles north. The campground's location on the shore of Jackson Lake also provides easy access to the water, including a boat launch just a short distance away. While the roads leading to the campground are well-maintained, the interior roads of the campground itself can be hilly, so it's wise to be aware of the site layout when booking.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Spent two nights in Grand Tetons. Campground was clean. Saw lots of wild life including Bear and Elk. Check in to the site was next to non existent compared to other national parks we have stayed in. Sites were pretty close to each other, didn't use the showers but they looked ok, $5 for 12 minutes. The laundry room wasn't great, around $5 as well. Restaurant by the lodge looked good but didn't end up eating there, general store had wood and ice and some basic food items. It was super quiet at night. Views of the lake from the boat launch were great in the evening. Bathrooms were cleaned three times a day, no paper towel or hand dryers, water was only cold. Very laid back vibe. Good if you are looking for a chill place to hike.
June 21 · Megan KellyWe stayed at Gros Ventre and since there aren't services there, we had to use the public showers and laundry. Holy mosquito! The showers are fine- open until 9pm, just wish they had a squeegee and shower antibacterial cleaner so we could use it before and after we showered to keep things more sanitary. Laundry is fine too- open 24/7, both take tokens that you can get with cash or credit card in laundry area.
June 17 · KatieIn 2023, we pulled an 11' camper with our Jeep on an overlanding trip through Yellowstone and the Tetons. Despite some bad weather, our site at Signal Mountain Campground was clean, flat and dry - no flooding issues like we experienced at Colter Bay the day before. The availability of bear boxes and trash disposal was a big plus, making food storage and waste management easy and secure. We also appreciated the small dishwashing station near the bathrooms, which was a nice convenience. Navigating the campground trails with our 11' pull-behind camper was straightforward and hassle-free. The area offered plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities, and nearby showers and laundry facilities made for a comfortable stay overall. Best of all, the sites had a lot of privacy with shrubs and trees. In 2023, site 46 was $59.94/night, booked through Recreation.gov.
July 02 · Whitney LeachIt was supposed to be 5 starts at the first .Their facility is great. Staff is very kind, there is Shower room, laundry, store so on...BUT the campsite where im is close to Boat launch parking lot.It is over midnight now but there is group having party and music sound is very very loud ..I don't know which site is even I can't get out of my tent site because it is so dark and scary. But this noise from parking lot.. It is basic manner to keep quiet time from 10 pm around camping site . It has been some hours!!! .. heading to 2 am ! Let me sleep !!! Crazy people !!There is no where i can call or complain for this.I know this is not this campsite problem. I should not blame Signal campground But Im leqving my experience on the first night is nightmare now.Im staying here for 3days. I hope the rest of nights would be better!
June 02 · Diane “B . Forest”Amazing location right on the lake. The store is super handy and has all the little things you might not have remembered to bring with you. The site itself could've been flatter but I saw other sites with tent boxes so if you got one of those ones you'd probably be set.
