Shenandoah Valley Campground Reviews
This is our favorite local campground. The waterfall there is beautiful, which of course you can't find anywhere else! The pool is heated, so it is comfortable even in the spring and fall, in addition to the hot tubs. The whole atmosphere is family and dog friendly. We have been camping here for 3 years now, just made our first visit this year, and It was a great time, as expected! My husband enjoys fishing in the river, they also have a stocked pond/lake, but he's caught huge trout in the river! My youngest daughter wanted to take our camper for her birthday, and the staff was especially welcoming and sweet to her, once they heard she was turning 7. The shower and restroom facilities are always clean and well cared for, and enjoy the DJ on Friday & Saturday nights, as well as the pancake breakfast on weekend mornings. Last but not least, don't forget all of the bunny rabbits, all over! We bring baby carrots to feed them, which they absolutely love, although the store does sell bags of pellet rabbit food, you will have all the rabbits visiting you with the baby carrots, and most of them will take it right out of your hand!
May 17, 2025 · Katie SchaefferCharming campground with beautiful waterfall. We only stayed one night as we were traveling through area. This campground is great for families and small trailers and tent camping. We were pulling a large 5th wheel and sites were very short. We had to unhitch vehicle and even then there was very little room on the site for it.There are rabbits, lots and lots of rabbits. They were extremely entertaining. Many activities for children. Beautiful pool and an easy walk to waterfall. This may not be important but there is very little cell service. I would say Verizon has NONE. WIFI did not work from our site and tv antenna picked up no local channels.
May 11, 2025 · Lynn HoodWe had a great time at Shenandoah Valley Campground! The location by the river was perfect, and we loved being able to enjoy the water so easily. Tubing was one of the highlights of our trip – it was so much fun, and the rental fee of just $10 was very reasonable.Another bonus was the affordable firewood, which made our campfires even more enjoyable. If you’re planning to visit, we highly recommend the non-hookup sites right by the river. They offer beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere – definitely the best spots in the campground!Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back again. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!
Oct 16, 2024 · kiran adhikariBeautiful valley with campground right be the river. Small but pretty waterfall that is easy to access. Sites were decent size with picnic tables and fire pits. When people say there are lots of bunnies it is no exaggeration. There are bunnies in every direction. Dogs loved it. Staff is very nice. Would suggest that they add a place to put your toiletries in the shower. Small chair or shelf.
May 19, 2025 · Dee HarrisAll in all a truly wonderful experience. My kids were occupied the entire time, the Campground was extremely clean and the atmosphere was friendly and they also had a lot of different activities to offer. My husband said the fishing pond was overfishing and he wasn't able to catch anything and didn't see anyone else catch anything, nor did anyone else catch anything while he was up there. He did catch a few things in the river though. Truly a wonderful weekend and we will most definitely be back. We will probably make this Campground our home away from home.
