Shelburne Camping Area is conveniently located at 4385 Shelburne Rd, Shelburne, VT 05482, USA. This address places it squarely in the heart of Vermont's thriving Chittenden County, offering exceptional accessibility for residents from across the state. For those coming from Burlington, Rutland, or even the Northeast Kingdom, the drive to Shelburne is straightforward, typically involving well-maintained state routes.
The campground's location on Shelburne Road (US Route 7) is a significant advantage. While Shelburne Camping Area’s primary focus is on providing excellent amenities and a pristine environment at competitive rates, specific "promotions" or "special offers" can vary by season and demand. Generally, campgrounds of this caliber often have tiered pricing for different site types (tent, partial hookup, full hookup, cabin) and may offer slightly different rates for weekdays versus weekends or peak holiday periods. For Vermont locals planning a visit, it's always advisable to directly contact the campground to inquire about the most current pricing and any potential discounts. For instance, sometimes extended stay discounts (e.g., for weekly or monthly bookings) might be available, offering better value for longer trips. They may also have specific policies regarding cancellation or rebooking, which are important to clarify. While there may not be publicly advertised large-scale promotions, the inherent value of a clean, well-located, and friendly campground often speaks for itself. For the most accurate and up-to-date information on rates, availability, and any potential deals for your specific travel dates, a direct call to their friendly staff is the best approach.

Shelburne Camping Area Reviews
We had an enjoyable stay. The bathrooms were probably the cleanest camp bathrooms I’ve ever seen - they truly must pride themselves on cleanliness. The water is hot for showers and drinkable for refilling a water bottle, brushing teeth (they ask you not to wash dishes in the bathroom, bring water for cooking/dishes). Camping spots are close together but there are trees in between for privacy. Check in is easy and convenient. Firewood is available at the office for $8 a crate, but we found a better deal in town by asking around. Make sure you pick up a grate from the office if you plan to cook over the fire. Neighbors were quiet except for a few large RVs arriving at night and making a lot of noise as they struggled to park in the dark. The campground is in a great location near Burlington and Shelburne farms, as well as the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. That said, it is still close to the highway and private residences, so do expect highway noise. Someone in a nearby private residence started their leaf blower at 7am on a Sunday but the campground has no control over that. We got no cell signal or WiFi signal during our stay although WiFi password was provided, download your maps ahead of time. Overall, we would stay again and recommend this campground for its convenience and superb cleanliness.
Oct 25, 2024 · A NHad a wonderful time in mid August 2024 in a class A. We loved the friendly staff and the layout of the sites. Most sites had tall bushes or trees separating them giving a sense of privacy and seclusion. The bathhouse is so clean and nicely decorated. 2 laundry rooms. It’s quiet and has a very nice pool. Sites are level and most have full hook ups. They have a few cabins too but I didn’t see inside of them.I didn’t take any photos, but I did make a YouTube video with a tour of the park.https://youtu.be/r0bIhTbDvho?si=B3wK7q-jeh1TR4Pv
Aug 23, 2024 · Inspired2RVWe had a wonderful stay in a 2 room Kitchenette in mid August. The cottage was even nicer than the pictures, spacious and very clean. A great deal for the money. Location is perfect - nice area and so close to Shelburne Farms and the Shelburne Museum. Highly recommend. We would stay again.
Aug 28, 2024 · Sarah B.i've stayed here a few times now while traveling for work preferring the van life thing over an over priced hotel. This place is definitely convenient being prepared close to all kinds of stuff on Shelburne Street. The campground itself is nice, the spaces are large enough to move around and semi private from your neighbors. The bathrooms are super clean and the shower is hot. There is ice and firewood available after hours, you just pay in the mornings. However a few times the ice cooler would be randomly locked when I got back after work at around 5PM, so kind of disappointing to have to choose between throwing away the food in my cooler or driving 10 minutes back down Shelburne to get ice. Chris in the front office has been nothing but helpful. I will definitely stay here every time I am working near Burlington. All in all 10/10 highly recommended.
Nov 11, 2024 · nuclear pastaWhat a nice little campground located just outside of Burlington along the main highway. We found our reservations perfectly & although the office was unstaffed during our stay, we were able to enjoy the site to it's fullest. About the only gripe was the fact our site was pretty soggy & muddy but that's to be expected this time of year & we enjoyed every moment. The nice little diner within walking distance is a wonderful bonus - we'll be back for sure!
