Sebasticook Lake Campground Reviews
Friendly staff, great location, beautiful lake. Reading some of these reviews baffles me because people are acting like they're staying at a 5 star hotel complaining about cabins being dirty. We are CAMPING here. The whole point is to be in nature which news flash, is dirty😂. As for people saying that the staff is rude this could not be further from the truth, I'm 19 years old and the lady in the office was very kind about telling me about the campground and things to do around town. She even let me pick whatever tent site I wanted since I'm the only one staying in a tent this weekend. The only thing that was unpleasant was the train that came through at 2am but I knew what I signed up for when I booked a campground that is next to train tracks. Great campground, and very affordable, would definitely recommend staying here.
Jun 04, 2025 · Brady PlanteSo after a weary 1900 miles and spending a week at an amazing motel hotel in Newport I came out here. The couple are so kind and absolutely just down to earth and extremely lovely. The campground is definitely old the cabins by the lake are definitely circulation 1920s 1930s, but the rustic charm is just wonderful , reminds me a lot of the old cabins around the lakes. I grew up around an upper state New York. The campground is immaculate, bathrooms and shower spotless plenty of hot water. The pool is spotless. It’s about 97% families here some long-term seasonal renters that are just wonderful . Everybody is so friendly and kind ,so glad I found this place. It has been restful and calm.☺️ It is just what this weary roving Scotsman needed
Aug 14, 2024 · Scott DrummI've actually stayed in a cabin at this campground when I was a little girl. Close to 50 years ago!! The original cabins are still standing and rented but unfortunately look to be in pretty rough shape. Some t l c is definitely needed. We had a perfect campsite on the water. Was beautiful. The bathrooms were immaculate. So clean and fresh. The grounds appeared to be clean and tended. The staff were friendly and courteous. Would definitely go back
Aug 11, 2022 · Donna HayesAnother great year. Thank you Dan and Sharon. If you are stuck up and looking to be pampered and glamorous with sparkles then this isn't for you. If you want a relaxing, rustic good old time camping, lake swimming and fishing, having coffee by a fire or on a dock THIS is the place for you. We love it so much. Amazing people, respectful and honest. It's like your aunt and uncle that you keep on visiting. My boys have the best time. And you make me glad you make it safe for them to run off and play. Keep up the great work. See you next year.
Jul 25, 2021 · kim GearhartThis is the worst place I have ever stayed. They should give us back our money. They didnt mow until we showed up. It does not look like this picture check out the one's I posted. It was filthy and in total disrepair. They obviously put no maintenance into it at all. The furniture is gross and the onechair had no legs and was sitting directly on the floor. Mattress covers were all ripped up. X rated drawibgs on the walls upstairs. It was rotting on the inside and outside. Wind blows through the walls and there is no heat source in Maine? Heated pool is not heated. Door to the "screened in porch" wont shut so your cabin is always unsecured. The enclosed porch has holes in the screens and wasp nesting in the wall.
