Seaside View Recreation Park Introduce
For Marylanders seeking a serene and truly relaxing waterfront getaway, Seaside View Recreation Park in Ridge, MD, is a hidden gem. Tucked away in picturesque Southern Maryland, this campground offers a peaceful retreat where the sounds of nature replace the hustle and bustle of daily life. As one happy camper shared, it's a "Quite camping area" where their "Family always chill and relax" and they "come every year 3-4 times." This sentiment perfectly captures the essence of Seaside View Recreation Park: a welcoming, tranquil spot where you can unwind and reconnect with the simple pleasures of the outdoors. Whether you're an avid angler, a crabbing enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys waking up to the "sounds of birds chirping and fish flopping in the water," this park provides an idyllic setting for your next Maryland camping adventure.
Seaside View Recreation Park is located at 48593 Sea Side View Rd, Ridge, MD 20680, USA. Accessibility to Seaside View Recreation Park is relatively straightforward for Maryland residents. It's approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive from the Washington, D.C. area and about 2 hours (or a little more) from the Baltimore, MD, area, making it a convenient weekend or week-long escape. For those arriving by boat, the park is easily accessible from the St. Mary's River. You would enter the St. Mary's River just north and west of Point Lookout, then immediately bear to starboard into Smith Creek, and starboard again into Jutland Creek. Apr 19, 2025 · KwakDoc BrothersThis place is absolutely lovely :) there isn't a lot of camping in this neck of the woods, so I'm glad I landed at such a great spot! The owner was super kinda and accommodating; they've never hosted a hammock before, but I was able to find two trees right on the water. It was nice and quiet the whole time I was camping. I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and fish flopping in the water. Bathrooms and showers were super clean. Highly recommend stopping by especially if you're into fishing and boating,
May 23, 2023 · Maria RomfoeCould be a gem but it's not. Full of full-timers, run down and little evidence of maintenance or attempt to upgrade the facilities. Docks full of illegals crabbing and leaving debris on the docks. Convenient to an area with little to do or see. Met our requirements but won't return. The host was a great person however.
Jun 05, 2023 · George K PhilipsGreat experience camping overnight with our 3 sons. Very welcoming owner, super clean private bathroom with showers, nice view by the water and beautiful at nighttime to star gaze. Overall kids loved it and we will be back.
