Screen Shelter Camping Area - Lake Mineral Wells State Park Reviews
We stayed in #8 and enjoyed the water view and how it is a bit separated from the other shelters. Clean bathrooms and showers. It was nice and quiet. #3 has the best views, #8 somewhat private, #14 and #15 very private. #5-7 have great water views but are directly next to each other.
March 21 · Rita G.My family & I just got home from camping for 3 nights!!!! We go camping once a year, and shelter #5 in Mineral Wells has been the most perfect place to go to!!! It has two main areas that we look for: easy access to the water for swimming and a beautiful rocky fishing spot! This area has both! Three nights, two adults, one child, and one car only cost us $150. I also love that their shelters have electric and running water! It is also good to know that this park is located very close to town, in case you need to run to the store for an item or two.In case you stay in other shelters that do not have easy access to water, the park also has a public swimming part to it. The bathroom are also air conditioned and have clean showers with warm water. My family and I, call shelter #5, PARADISE!!!!!(And because of covid-19, it is REQUIRED to make a reservation by phone or online. You can't just show up at the moment. We were able to back in 2018, but of course things have changed now. It still did not change the fact that shelter number five is Paradise. Due to covid, My family and I did make a reservation online first. Please Like my review if I have been helpful to you. Hope you have a great time too!
September 08 · Nallery F.Very well kept campsites. Screened shelters were super clean as was the restroom / shower. Campsite #3 is easily one of the best with the big fire ring and seating overlooking the lake
August 24 · Ian JaegerPretty nice! We had a large friend group that booked a Lakeside shelter and a tent spot in two different areas. There was a trail connecting them for a short walk. Shelter was nice, very nice they it had electricity!
July 05 · Matt HNice relaxing week end in the state park!!
