Schaefer Heard Campground Reviews
RSH is a beautiful campground. The campground was very quiet. Our site was 52, which is a buddy site. The site is not designed for two campers to back in and be able to face each other. My son and husband had to do some maneuvering to get the campers to face each other. If not, one of the camper doors / steps would have faced the wooded area behind the site. My advice would be to check out the placement of the power and water if you want two campers on the site. The access to the water from site 52 is very easy, with the lake being very close. The grandkids were able to swim from our site. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
May 29, 2024 · Sylvia TuckerWe were at campsite #90. We have been here before and loved it. In the water literally came up behind our RV to the edge of the grass. This trip, however, the lake was way down because repairs were being done on the Dam. So, I didn't get to see any water fowl or wildlife when sitting on the grass.
Sep 22, 2024 · Anna Marie WarrenSpot 52. Beautiful clean spot for my camper van and my friends pop-up camper. Both electric hookups work. Water pressure is good. There are campers in both spots next to us, but the amount of space between spots still allows for a peaceful atmosphere.
Sep 27, 2023 · Joyce AlversonI have never scored a campsite that was so spacious let alone one so spacious that is waterfront. The campground is massive and is kept up very nicely. For a COE campground it has a surprising amount of trails to hike and bike. If you are coming to this area for camping this is your place.
Jul 10, 2023 · Phillip Johns (EatShootCampRide)Loved it had a great time fishing. It was peaceful. Even camped out by a flying squirrel den in a tree. So be careful and don't drive nails in the trees like someone else did.
