Santa Cruz / Monterey Bay KOA Holiday Reviews
This place is great. We really enjoyed our stay. We trailer camped here in site 72. I will say the nature spot doesn't really provide much privacy, especially in 72. However there are some spots that provide hedge coverage. We stayed mid June, it was high 60s, low 70s, slight breeze. It was so perfect. Even the morning had overcast but it was warm out where I could be in shorts and short sleeve. The activities for the kids is where this place shines the most. The jumpy pillow and pad are the hub for kids. It was always packed. The sand shack is right next to it. This is where you can tie dye shirts everyday, it's a really nice setup. There are snacks for the kids to buy, bikes and other mobile things to rent. They also host hourly activities for kids there as well. The place overall is very clean, the cleanest KOA I've been too. Their main shop has everything you could think of and more. Trash gets picked up daily at your site. Quiet time is at 10 which is nice and standard. Some sites are large and they offer dog areas in some as well which is cool!We really enjoyed our stay, after the second day we booked again for next year. This place will be yearly for us, no questions asked. Great place, super friendly staff, plenty to do.Boardwalk is 20min, Aquarium is 30 min, roaring thunder is 30 min away.
Jun 11, 2025 · Chris CurtinThis was the best camp experience I've had! We had a cabin with our own bathroom. There is a large playground for the kids, a bounce pad, and a clubhouse lounging with a snack bar. There was live music and a "Glow" party, when we were there it was the owners birthday!! Thanks Andy, for the awesome, family friendly fun!! We'll be back!!! Only downside was the power went out for about 10 hours or more. Our cabin was dark, with no hot water, but we survived!!!
May 28, 2025 · Carlos Gomez 77The sites are very tight but once you get in the foliage was pretty. The staff were nice and helpful. There were a million loud unsupervised kids, one 6 year old who kept riding a gas powered mini bike at top speed for hours. The racket from dogs was 24/7. There is nothing nearby, not even a gas station. The men's room smelled so bad I almost gagged. All for nearly $100 a night. Never again.
May 21, 2025 · eric hedinThere was a big group of us, my son's 5th grade class. Each family had their own site, everything from tents to cabins. We had an amazing time. The kids were riding their bikes around late into the night and just enjoying being kids outside. They had some amazing activities set up that weekend, the food was great, and the kids loved the pool, the bounce pad, and the playground. Definitely would go again. The rest of my family is already talking about all of us going. It's close enough to home to not be a huge trip, but far enough away that you can get away.
Jun 11, 2025 · Leslie SernaAmazing campground for families! We stayed in RV spot 176 and it backed to the playground. It was a quick walk to the bathrooms and the jumping area. I loved that I could sit next to the fire in the evening and watch the kids play from our camp site. The kids made a few new friends and the amenities they offer are outstanding! Wish we stayed longer! The only negative was that there were puddles of water in the showers.
