★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My kids are huge beach fans, so while in the area for the holiday, we decided to spend an afternoon at the Sanilac County Lexington Park. It's a small beautiful park tucked a little away, and it did not disappoint. We went in the entrance further from the campsites, as the park has two entrance options. The area we arrived in was more long than wide, with a sprawling grassy area containing 2 pavilions (1 large, 1 small) and a playground for kids. While I did not see any buildings for restrooms, there was a portapotty near the entrance of the parking lot. The parking lot itself also had plenty of available spots. If you headed straight to the back of the park, you will find some wide, wooden stairs leading you down to the beach. It was absolutely beautiful, and bonus that we had the place to ourselves. I was thankful that we didn't run into any trash in the sand, the beach was small but clean. The water stays shallow for quite the distance out, but I would recommend water shoes as it is very rocky. Had an incredible afternoon here, and can easily recommend a visit.
July 04 · Andrea WaymasterVery clean and beautiful short walk to the water. We could not take our dog to the water but not a big deal. Good playground for kids which we do not have. Lexington is a great town and recommend visiting love that this campground has full hook up. And the staff was amazing and loved our dog Josie!!!
August 23 · mindy AnscombeA beautiful hidden gem along Lake Huron. I have been fortunate to have been coming here half my life. A second home you'll have yourself here. Pavilions are available for family reunions, birthday parties, or whatnot. The option with the campground of full hookup or rustic. Some nice and enjoyable updates to the grounds have been made, but the preservation of the natural environment is still here! The manager, Cheri, helps preserve this gem and is so helpful!
July 05 · Melissa is your Lil Sarcastic Ray of Sunshine (Ramblin Rose)I have been coming here with my boyfriend for the past 4 summers. We try to come at least 2-3 times a season. We absolutely love coming here. Cheri and Mike are so helpful and friendly! Also, we were so excited to see that there's merch now! The t-shirts are a great quality and price!
June 08 · Kyla VisgaMy son and I stayed over the past weekend and it was amazing! We really enjoyed the park and how quiet it was. The owner was an amazingly nice woman and she made us feel right at home. Firewood was super cheap too! Restrooms were extremely clean and well taken care of. Definitely going to make this one of the places we visit yearly!
