May 28, 2025 · Jonathan PhanGreat campsite! We car camped for the night. There are bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The camp host Jose was very friendly! There are trails to walk around the camp and some museum-type sites. Overall, it was a good pass-through place to camp. While it wasn’t in a scenic area, it was a good place to camp. We stayed on a VERY windy and chilly night, so layers were important!
May 30, 2025 · Maddy ColeThis park is an undiscovered gem. We loved the serenity here and the beautiful park like setting. Our site was a back-in on the outer edge (riverside).Like many other reviews, it is barely used! We were there 4th of July week and there were never more than 10 sites of 100 occupied on any night. We are pretty sure that their website reservation system is the culprit as it takes a PhD and patience to figure out, but also could be their dilapidated signs on CA 101 not marketing this very well.So many things to enjoy here:- 1 hour drive to Monterey, 17 mile drive, Carmel by the sea, and Paso Robles. Was 40 degrees cooler on the coast during a 100+ degree heatwave in CA at the time.- beautiful park grounds, well cared for- friendly host, Jose- had irrigation and farming equipment and museum on the grounds- King City Main st had good small restaurants. Liked the small town feel. Starbucks and McDs nearby if you need chain food/drinks.- Right off CA 101 for easy access. Meant some distant road noise but not bad at allWe had electric and water with dump station available. Other inner sites ha full hook up. Plenty of cell/data signal was available with ATT
Jul 10, 2024 · David NelsonOur rig is 45 ft. When disconnected. It was a little tight getting in but we really did not have any issues. The park is very well located to get to pinnacles. There was quite a bit to do in the park which surprised us because we thought we were only getting a campground. The museums are very well kept up. The staff was very helpful and was always asking if they could do anything to help us. We're very pleasantly surprised by the outstanding customer service. We would love to come and stay again.
Mar 11, 2025 · Greg QuintanaVery nice camp ground! There are restrooms, showers, laundry, and playground and even putting practice zone onsite. There were youth Scout hosting events here. Many empty spot here even during the Memorial Day weekend. Book online. Saw a police car drove by, so I think it is safe. No guard on-site at the gate when I came on the Memorial Day weekend.
