For those traveling from the greater Seattle, Tacoma, or Olympia areas, the journey typically involves a scenic drive, often including a picturesque ferry ride across Puget Sound, or a direct drive along Highway 101. The transition from urban landscapes to the lush, natural beauty of the Peninsula is part of the allure, setting the stage for a relaxing retreat.

This makes Salish Trails an excellent basecamp for hikers, sightseers, and anyone eager to explore the park's diverse ecosystems without long daily commutes.

May 09, 2025 · Anna WatkinsFriendly staff, clean RV park, level sites, games everywhere, guitars brought out at campsites, store with goodies, gifts and necessities. They even have a pool! Great location between Sequim and Port Angeles. Highly recommend!
Jun 15, 2025 · Lori GWe stayed for one night in a cabin. We were really sorry we couldn't stay for longer. The staff were lovely, the cabin was great, the site was really clean and there were loads of games.
Jun 14, 2025 · Tim NicholsonGreat Park & People. This park is clean, well-run and the folks are welcoming. Sites are large and easy to get into. The store is great for things you forgot! I'm staying the month, but it's been nice watching how wonderful they are to the many first-time campers here, with advice and help.
Jun 23, 2025 · Erik CocksBeautiful campground tucked outside of Port Angeles. The staff was so friendly. The views and sites were lovely. The showerhouse was clean and warm with good water pressure. There was plenty to do and it was close to Olympia National Park. The only downfall was the proximity to a busy road. It did die down a bit at night, but the noise was a bit much and made it hard to sleep. I would go back, but would request a site further from the main road.
