As an RV campsite, it's "ok". For the money, you could definitely do better. Many much nicer places charge similar rates.While visiting my mother on short notice, I thought $900 was a relatively good deal for a month... until I was later told electricity isn't included and I have no sewer connections. You also still have to pay for virtually any services you "need". They've got useless free stuff, though. Pool, music, basketball court... so if you like a lot of superfluous public activities, then maybe you'll love it here. Personally, after having been shown my space (or should I say, my mud pit.), honestly I wanted my money back... but I had no other options.I was particularly amused by how concerned the staff member was that I park my trailer over the meager patch of gravel. It was essentially a mud pit with some gravel sprinkled on top.I have no sewer connections, but I'm also expected to walk 5 minutes to use the bathroom or take a shower. (or take an hour moving my trailer to their dump site...) I'm a 10 minute walk from the laundry facilities and I have to drive to the dumpster. All of the amenities are "adequate", but I really feel like RV parks do overcharge to park on what is often barely more than undeveloped land. They provide all of these superfluous services, but can't be bothered to give you a clean surface to park on. They're always trying to create an "experience" to justify costs as they quietly excuse themselves from providing meaningful value in the things people "need".it's not something unique to this campground and they're not doing anything particularly wrong, but it's just depressing to pay so much to stay in my own trailer. This is why my rig is off-grid and I typically stay out in the wilderness, far from these places.ultimately, S&H campground is fairly average. nothing special in terms of a place to live.

We planned a camping trip here. We traveled 5 hrs to get here. We read the reviews which didn't seem to be the greatest but still came. We had 3 families with us 7 adults and 12 children. There was so much stuff for the kids to do from swimming, little fair like rides, ice cream shop, and their favorite thing was the foam bubble party at the end of the night. They had live music. Bathrooms were decent. The only complaint I could say was the camp site we were at had a water pit from im guessing recent rain so it was a muddy wet mess but we dealt with it not a big deal. All the staff we talked with was nice. I wouldn't mind coming back to this campsite kids had a blast!

To the point: This park is alright if it's not raining or cold. No laundry or bathrooms in the winter. Park needs some serious long term maintenance. Particularly some grading. Sites are very close in the older section of the park. Would honestly stay away from this park.I stayed here in December for 5 days and again in January for 3 weeks.December was good until it rained and I had a huge puddle outside the door that couldn't be avoided. My water connection froze because their heat tape broke, but they came out and fixed it immediately.January was horrible. To start I was taken to choose between 3 sites all of which were flooded so I was offered a different one that was not. 2 days later I was asked if I could move because that site was reserved. I was given the option to move to a site that I was originally told was unavailable. Every week I tried to dump my tanks only to have the sewer backed up not allowing me to dump. Each time it took going to the office for 3 days before it was fixed. This happened every week until I was fed up and asked for a refund for the rest of my stay and left. By mistake the owner charged my card instead of refunding me. When I brought it to his attention, instead of saying let me look into it he said he didn't charge my card. The next day I went down with proof and his staff corrected the issue.

Close enough to Indy that you can get anywhere within 30 minutes, and suburban areas with all services are even closer. Reasonably quiet area - especially if you're not camped along the main road, which still isn't bad. Established trees so it's really lovely, not like a parking lot with hookups.We have a 40' Class A and had no trouble getting in or out.Happy Camper RV service is on site which was super helpful when our jacks broke. They came right out and took care of the problem so we could get on the road.

We weren’t planning on staying here — too expensive for our liking (we usually stay at state or national campgrounds), but we needed to stop, it was fairly convenient and the closer KOA was even more money. The people we talked to were nice. The park itself seems to have lots of amenities. The problem for us was that they had music playing, loudly, all night (guessing maybe someone forgot to turn it off). We tried calling — no answer (it was after midnight). Walked around, but didn’t see anyone. We eventually just turned on our a/c unit fan and the noise from that drowned out the sound of the music. We also found that the bathrooms and showers were not particularly nice, compared to state and national parks. We just stayed that one night.
