- Primitive Camping Sites: For those who prefer a more rustic experience, Rupert's offers primitive camping options. These sites are ideal for tent campers looking to truly immerse themselves in the outdoors.
- Spacious Sites: Customers have noted that the primitive sites are generally good-sized, providing ample space for setting up tents and enjoying your personal camping area.
- Firewood Availability: While not explicitly listed as a service for sale, reviews indicate that campers can often find sticks around their sites for campfires, suggesting a natural abundance of fuel for your campfire needs.
It's important to note that while some basic amenities are available, the focus appears to be on a more traditional, perhaps less amenity-rich, camping experience, particularly for primitive campers. For specific details on other services like RV hookups, electric sites, or shower facilities, it's always recommended to contact the campground directly, as information on these particular amenities can be limited in public reviews.
Every campground has its own unique character, and Rupert's Resort Campground is no exception. Based on customer feedback, several features and highlights define the experience at this Bremen, Indiana spot:
- Lively "Party Campground" Atmosphere: One of the most frequently mentioned characteristics is the vibrant and often loud atmosphere, particularly during the late evening hours. This makes it a popular choice for groups and individuals who enjoy a social and energetic camping environment rather than a quiet, secluded retreat.
- Primitive Camping Focus: The availability of primitive camping without requiring reservations is a significant highlight for spontaneous campers. This offers flexibility for those who decide to camp at the last minute.
- Abundant Firewood: Campers appreciate the ease of finding natural kindling and sticks around their sites for building campfires, adding to the authentic camping experience.
- Affordable Primitive Camping: At $60 for two nights of primitive camping, Rupert's offers a relatively affordable option for a weekend getaway, making it accessible for budget-conscious campers.
It’s important for potential visitors to be aware that some reviews mention aspects like less-than-pristine bathroom conditions and a noticeable presence of mosquitoes, particularly in primitive areas. Rupert's Resort Campground Reviews
This is a party campground. Some are family and some are party. This one is definitely party. That means it doesn’t have the cleanest bathroom. The music is loud into the late night. We do primitive camping for 2 nights and it’s $60. The sights are good sized and you can always find sticks around for your fire.
Sep 05, 2022 · JessicaFirst, on the positive side, there were plenty of sites available (at least primitive) without needing a reservation. However, that's probably because the primitive area was so bad with mosquitoes that you couldn't really enjoy any time outside your tent. It just may very well have been the worst place I've camped in Indiana in terms of bugs. The overall campground is also somewhat run down and there was lots of trash/junk in the primitive camping areas and fire pits. So if you absolutely can't find a camping site anywhere else, you might want to check out this place, but otherwise I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Jul 24, 2021 · David RigglemanGreat campground for going out on the boat. This is a place with wonder people and so many memories! Also they have a slide and there is a roped of section to swim in. Not once have I ever seen a leach there.
Dec 06, 2021 · H PBeware of the boat ramp and the transition from concrete to sand. Small drop off I thought would be ok but my trailer bottomed out and dragged along the concrete when putting in. Hooked the straps back up and headed to the public launch instead. Really wish this ramp was nicer since the public launch can fill up quick.
