As a campground likely managed by a state or local authority (part of Falls Lake State Recreation Area), Rolling View Campground Loop A typically operates on a standardized fee structure rather than offering commercial "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense (e.g., discounts, loyalty programs). Fees are usually set to cover maintenance and operational costs of public parks.
However, North Carolina locals can find "offers" in terms of value and seasonal considerations:
- Standardized, Affordable Rates: State park campground fees are generally very reasonable compared to private resorts, making Rolling View a cost-effective option for a high-quality camping experience on Falls Lake.
- Off-Season Opportunities: While not a direct "discount," camping during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall, outside of major holidays) can offer a more peaceful experience with potentially fewer crowds, and sometimes slightly lower demand might make reservations easier. Winter camping, if available, often has minimal fees.
- North Carolina State Parks Passport Program: Although not a direct monetary discount on camping, participating in the NC State Parks Passport program encourages exploration of all state parks. Collecting stamps is a fun "reward" for frequent park visitors and fosters a deeper connection to North Carolina's natural resources.
- Senior or Access Passes: For qualifying individuals (e.g., seniors, those with permanent disabilities), federal and some state parks offer discount passes that can reduce camping fees. It's advisable to check if North Carolina's state park system has a reciprocal program or its own specific passes.
The most significant "offer" at Rolling View Campground Loop A is the consistent quality described in reviews: a "beautiful well maintained campground" with "great spacing" and "immaculately clean" facilities, all set against the backdrop of the stunning Falls Lake. This high-value experience at a public park rate is a continuous benefit for North Carolina residents. Rolling View Campground Loop A Reviews
Very beautiful well maintained campground. Except the morning ranger everyone was courteous and helpful. It was cold but my dogs and I went for a hike and loved every step.
Dec 04, 2024 · Tara McManusThis place is amazing!!! Great spacing with the campsites so you actually feel like you are out there in the woods some where. The lake is beautiful and the trails make the place seem bigger than it actually is. The bath houses were adequate and really clean. So the fact that they didn't have sewer connections was not an issue. There was no 50 amp service but the 30 amp adapter i had was able to run both a/c units and the microwave without an issue. The dump stations were conveniently located on the way out and had water hoses to rinse down if needed. I believe this is a new favorite for us now.
Jul 04, 2020 · KSNice quiet campground. Spacious, level sites. Walking trails. Firpits with grates. Would be a 5-star campground if they had full hookups!
Oct 15, 2024 · Cynthia JordanRolling View campground is a very nice facility. We have stayed here on several outings since we purchased our Class A motorhome September 2018. It has become one of our go to place since its only three hours from our home in New Bern NC. There are nice wooded semi private sites mostly off of the Falls Lake. Roads are paved, sites are gravel with varied degrees of level. Fire rings and picnic tables are located at each site. RV sites have 30 and a 10 amp receptacles. There is also water located at each site. The general appearance of the park very pretty. It has rolling hills surrounded by beautiful hardwood forrest with lots of wildlife including birds, grey squirrels, rabbits, deer and others. It's a very peaceful, pleasant place to unwind. There is a fishing pier located on B loop.We haven't used any of the bath/shower facilities so I can't comment on those. There is a sewer dump located near the park entrance. Unless you want to do multiple setups I would highly recommend a portable potty tank for convenience.Overall I would have rate the park Five Stars. I only chose Four because 50 amp service would be a great option for units with multiple AC unit operation during very hot weather! Unfortunately, larger RVs do get quite warm with high temps but are still manageable if start cooling early morning so you can help get past the peak high temperatures.
Sep 25, 2019 · Ronnie Wetherington (Ron)We had a great time but not with the rain. When the sites were dry, wonderful. When it rained, it was a muddy mess! The views were breath taking. We did hear and see plains but that didn't alter our experience. If it didn't get so muddy when it rained, I would give Rolling View 5 stars.
