Rock Creek Marina & Campground Reviews
Awesome stop along the Mississippi River. Great ice cream, really cool aquarium and terrarium with fish, turtles, snakes, salamanders, and more!
Jun 16, 2025 · Chadwick CardottThis park was a lot busier than most of the Iowa county parks that I’ve visited. (I’ll leave it to ‘you’ to decide if that’s a positive or a negative). The Eco Tourism Center was a nice addition with a small store that also had a limited food menu available (mainly burgers) and a room with a large display documenting some of the local wildlife and an aquarium showing some of the local aquatic species. Attached to, and behind the Tourism Center is a deck/balcony with views of the marina slips and the park. There is also a boat ramp with dock (and a scenic view) that was busy with kayakers and canoeists both coming and going while I was there.
Aug 03, 2023 · R. U. Lost 2Wonderful people, awesome spots, very comfortable and well maintained. Walk the nature trail along the waters, paddle the back waters of the Mississippi River and experience it's ecosystem, take a sunset cruise from the campground, and enjoy the little museum. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and they are right by the museum so your camper-head of hair walk to the showers will be seen by daily visitors 🙂

While you are there- go in the upstairs and see the huge aquarium and fish that hang up and the room with wildlife. Nice place to show the kids even if not camping. Free and they have The Marina rents canoes, kayaks and paddleboats complete with life jackets.
