Rock Creek Campground Reviews
Beautiful camping experience. Note get a discover pass before you arrive! $10 day pass covers camping here. Many sites are reserved for horse campers until 8pm. I arrived after 8. The forest is pristine, old growth fir trees, spacious sites, amazing trails to walk on, bridges across the river. It has a nice outback feel with the horse activity!
Jun 23, 2025 · Scott BensonSo, this is definitely the off season and when my wife and I first arrived here my thought was this is a dilapidated campground…..HOWEVER…..after staying here I would call it rustic! We had a very relaxing three days, only saw a couple of cars, and it was super quiet! We don’t have horses, but I would say this campground might be a little tight for horse trailers and trucks, and still have a place to camp. Bathrooms seemed clean, with pit toilets. The trail access here is truly amazing! The trails, and bridges were all very well maintained! We woke up to a light dusting of snow two of the three mornings we were here, and it made this little rustic campground very pretty! (Sorry no pics of the snow…that was just for us!) JUST A HEADS UP, WHEN YOU ARE HERE YOUR CONNECTION IS YOUR SURROUNDINGS THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION!
Mar 16, 2025 · Doug HBeautiful area, plenty or horse and mountain biking trails. Quiet camping, no hook ups but I love this area. It is posted that a mountain lion was seen approximately 1 year ago. Leashes required for dogs. Plenty of secure horse corrals and picnic areas.
May 01, 2025 · Shawn OsbornBe careful, if you're not one of the rich campers with horses the hosts may single you out and lie to the rangers. It's happened twice now. The first time they called the ranger, lied to them and said that I was refusing to move camp spots because I was in a horse spot. That was not true, he came and asked me if I would move and I said okay. I was gone within 2 minutes. The second time the ranger came to visit me to give me a hard time for littering the last time I was there. I never littered not once! In fact, I picked up garbage in other camp spots. Be careful of these hosts! They're very judgmental and if they decide they don't like you, they'll give you a hard time like they did me. It's really not worth it to go there, unless you're super tough and take pictures on your way out. I'm disabled, just a single woman by myself, I have Morgellons disease and they clearly lied about me. Anyway, since there's no way I can prove that I wasn't lying, those who know me know I would never ever litter, I'll just say that God saw the whole thing and knows the truth. It wouldn't surprise me if they do get the real rough crowd all summer that they accused me of being, now that they did all that to me, just an innocent single girl traveler. Check the other host comments. Some people just really need to grow up, be mature and realize that it's about enjoying yourself in nature, not some kind of power trip. I just hope that they treat the campers with money and horses the same way they treated me.
Jun 04, 2025 · Darla StoltenowOh my gosh is this place gorgeous! This weekend my family took our kids out camping for the first time and we were blown away by how friendly the hosts were, how friendly the other campers were, and just how beautiful the campsite is!The hosts take amazing care of the campground and are super helpful when it comes to finding fun trails down to the creek!Super kid friendly! My kiddo and her cousins had a blast in the creek! We personally don’t have horses, but by the end of the trip all of the kids were talking about how they now want a horse! Our kids will remember their first camping trip as the best camping trip ever! Thanks Jenny!
