Riverside RV Park

Campground ★4.0

216 Spinel St, Kemmerer, WY 83101, USA

4.0
A quiet place to spend a night or two if you're side by side riding the many forest service/national forest roads in the area or hunting fossils at Fossil Lake. 30/50A hookups, sewer, water and flat, asphalt parking pads make set up a breeze. The spots are a little narrow for slides but you can make them work. Several reviews mentioned the rail line nearby but the trains don't blow the horns because there are no street to rail intersections in town. As the website reads, there are no showers or laundry available. Kemmerer is close and there are several restaurants to choose from and a nice grocery store for supplies. We enjoyed our stay and not only recommend but will stay here again on our next fossil hunting trip. - Ray Mathews

Choosing Riverside RV Park for your next stop in Wyoming is a great decision for several reasons, especially if you are traveling with an RV. First and foremost, the park’s dedication to providing full hookups for water, sewer, and electric is a huge convenience. This allows you to have all the comforts of home while on the road, eliminating the need to search for separate facilities for these essential services. The paved, level parking pads make setup incredibly easy, a feature that any seasoned RVer will appreciate.

The location is another significant draw. Situated along the Hams Fork River, the park offers a peaceful atmosphere with opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing right at your doorstep. For Wyoming locals, the proximity to unique regional attractions like Fossil Butte National Monument and various private fossil quarries is a major highlight. You can easily spend a day or two hunting for fossils and return to a comfortable, quiet base camp. The fact that the park is located in Kemmerer means that you are close to town amenities, including a nice grocery store and several restaurants, so you don't have to worry about stocking up on all your supplies before you arrive.

Furthermore, the park’s welcoming policies are a big plus. Its dog-friendly stance means you don’t have to leave your furry friends behind, making it a true family vacation. The quiet nature of the park, despite being near a rail line (which is not a problem as trains do not blow their horns in town), provides a relaxing environment for everyone, including children. While it's noted that the park doesn't offer showers or laundry, this is a conscious trade-off for the park's focus on providing a quiet, full-service spot for RVs.
