Apr 28, 2025 · Only On My PlanetI would not recommend this campground if you are younger or not prepared to kiss ass. The lot manager is always spreading tales about people and trying to find a pretext to kick you out. When I first moved there, she started a myth that my sister is a mooch because other people in the campsite would offer her a beer; nevertheless, if you are offered a beer, you are not mooching. Now, if she was regularly requesting one, that's another issue. After that story died down, she spread another word that I was attempting to disrupt a marriage by hanging out with a few of older people. This was not the case; we also hung out with his wife; she was always invited, but some days she was with other friends or simply preferred to spend time at home. We were given a four-day notice to depart, despite the fact that the contract stipulates you will have five days; she purposefully waited till the end of the month to give us the slip. Keep in mind that we frequently tried to communicate with her and try to sort this issue of her hating us for no reason; at one point, when we headed to her lot, she remarked "not today"We informed her we were there to ask another camper a question, and she rolled her eyes at us; she has a negative attitude and believes she is the queen bee of the lot. If this is what the owners choose to put on their property, that is fine; however, keep in mind that this manager has a public record of fraud. I'm sure she's utilizing this managerial position for the same purpose; all of the campers talk about how they despise her but keep a low profile since they can't afford to leave. Fortunately, I had somewhere to go; others, however, do not. I strongly advise against paying the seasonal fee because the turnover rate at this park is really high; yet, the other campers are extremely pleasant. The lot manager is the only one who causes problems, spreads rumors, and always has a negative attitude. This campground also offers year around lots, legally in the state of Michigan, this is not allowed. Her excuse for forcing us out was disruptive behavior near youngsters while drinking. So my sister was having a beer on our own property, at our own campsite. The youngsters came to our lot to look at her 3D print stand; since they didn't have any money, my sister gave them each a free print and sent them on their way. I'm not sure what they consider to be "orderly" if this is disorderly behavior.
Jun 29, 2025 · Anna SimonsWhat a great campground!! We came into town for the Scream Park and they had a spot open for a weekender. Truly amazing people and place. The river, trails and pond was perfect. The facilities and store were the best we have ever seen in a small park. Seriously could not belive the number of activities and fun family environment. Most importantly, how welcoming everyone was. Highly thinking about picking this park as our future seasonal.
Oct 22, 2023 · Chris BryantI had a site there in 2012 for the summer, after Bill bought the park and cleaned it up. I am hoping to return to stay again it is a beautiful place.
Apr 26, 2025 · Tom StephensThis place could be a nice place but the owner she is the rudest and she does not know how to handle herself around people they need to get someone else in there that knows how to talk to people. She is not manager material.
