River's Edge Apple River Tubing & Camping Reviews
Came to visit a friend. Was told it was $10 to get in. When I went in to pay, I was told it was $20 total. The lady on the radio was extremely rude and would not stop repeating the phrases "its the same anywhere you go" and " to enjoy the park amenities" when my friend came down to pay for me, the price increased to $50 because of my wife in the truck. Because it was $20 a person, plus $10 parking. Last I checked, 10 + 10 does not equal 30. We were basically being sold a tent site without a parking pass. Stay away from this blatant scam!

Jun 16, 2025 · Carter SterbaThis was our first time there, and the owners have done an amazing job with this campground. Just a beautiful area.
Jun 25, 2025 · Maynard JacobsonWe had a fun time going down and the shuttle driver was really fun to chat with.I recommend signage that tells people not to stop and stand/ block the river right before the first bridge because we almost drowned. My friend and I had a group in front of us of about 10 all tied together. We started off in the slow area and then there is a short island that splits the river. The river comes back together right before the first bridge, and the current there is STRONG.The group stopped right in front of the bridge and we waiting for about 15 minutes before standing out of our tubes to go around them because a bunch of people were waiting behind us.Where the rivers meet back up, the current swept us under the bridge and it drops off about 8+ feet and sucked us right under the water. There isn't a good spot to get to land because it's surrounded by steep inclines.Thankfully we were able to hold onto the rope on our tube to try to get far enough ahead to touch again. I think there should be warnings alerting people to be in their tubes before it reaches that point.Otherwise, the float was nice, the staff were great, and the people on the river were good.
Jul 20, 2024 · Anna PhillippiI really enjoyed my tubing experience at River's Edge Apple River Tubing. They offer tube rentals along with ropes to tie the tubes together, and you can also rent a separate tube with a basket in between for carrying your food. The cost was $20 per person, and with the extra tube for the basket and the rope, it totaled $25 per person. The experience was a lot of fun, though it was a bit short—about an hour long. One thing to keep in mind is that glass containers are not allowed on the river, so plan accordingly. Overall, I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a low-key, fun activity to enjoy with friends.
