Ride Royal Blue ATV Resort and Campground Reviews
I took my wife and two daughters riding for the first time this weekend. We went with 3 other families. They said they had the best time and my wife was skeptical at first. This place was awesome and every person working there was great to deal with! We will be coming back soon!!
Jun 23, 2025 · Brandon R.We stayed in Hoot Owl 16 Memorial Day weekend. They let us check in early for a small fee. The cabin was clean and ready for our stay. The bed was super comfortable for my wife and I. The staff was on point and answered any questions we had. They provided hot dogs and the condiments for its customers which was a nice lunch. The park itself was clean and nice. I’d definitely recommend this park if you’re looking for place to stay and ride your quads, SxS’s, or dirt bikes.
Jun 01, 2025 · Devildog95 WStayed at Patriots Peak. For all that have not stayed in a ATV park some of the cabins are small, it is expected.. Our group was 4 adults, there was ample space for normal taking turns for the shower and bath. If your trip is planned with good weather the outside porch is great, if your looking for inside comfort rent a larger unit. The staff, the store and the stay was awesome. 4x4 tow vehicle is a must if you stay at this cabin.
May 14, 2025 · Toby NealThe campground was nice. The bathrooms were clean. The trails were not marked. My husband and I are in our 60s. We go riding at Badlands and have no trouble we were looking so forward our vacation at Ride Royal blue I was so disappointed I will never come back we went out following the map and got lost finally half the day gone. We made it back so we went and rented a tablet. The tablet wasn’t charged up when we got it so after a hour i’m trying to get to the waterfall following the directions on the tablet. It went dead so once again we were lost. We went back to our motorhome and charged it up and took it back the next day. They wouldn’t even offer me any kind of a discount, I would never rent it again because it doesn’t work very well so scratched up you can hardly see the screen. We went out on our own and met up with some people, our age and we rode with them. Three of them had tablets we’re still trying to make it to the waterfall and this did not take us directly to the waterfall. We kept getting lost and three different people had these tablets. These trails are not marked on the way back after riding with them. My husband and I got separated from them and got lost my husband Machine started running bad because the conditions of the trails are so deep going in and out of mud I was covered. I was in tears most of the time because it was getting dark and we were lost and no cell service. This is the most terrifying trip I’ve ever been on. I felt devastated abandoned. There’s no way I could’ve walked out of there. If the machine broke down anyone else that goes there please be careful. It is a dangerous place. You get lost out there. You’re on your own.
May 22, 2025 · Joy SchroederWe spent 3 nights in Redneck Retreat 1. We reserved Redneck Retreat 2 on 04/11/25 but when we arrived on 06/23/25 we were informed that our room had been switched. Our first night of sleep was terrible. The center support for the queen bed is broken so we were tacoed in the bed. For the remainder of our stay my husband slept on the futon, I slept on the bottom bunk bed and our son slept in the bed. The most comfortable bed in the cabin was the futon but I would recommend putting a blanket down or placing a sheet on it as the material is rough and my husband ended up with "rug" burn on his elbow from rolling over in the middle of the night. Also, if you're over 5'5" you won't be able to stretch out on the futon. Both a/c's worked great!! We left the bedroom door open at night because we like to sleep cold but if you close the bedroom door, the bedroom becomes a meat locker!! The bathroom shower is VERY tiny and the shower head is VERY low!! I'm 4'11" and I was almost eye level with it. My husband is 6'4" and his head was above the shower curtain, the water spray from the shower head was just above his belly button and he could barely turn around in the shower to wash/rinse because the shower curtain was constantly clinging to him and there isn't enough room in the shower. There's about 5" of shower curtain in the tub because it needs to be hung higher. The spigot is very flimsy so be very careful when pulling up on the diverter to turn the shower head on. The water pressure is not great either. The fridge and freezer worked great. If it wasn't for the bed and bathroom issues I would've given 5 stars. We left matches, a grill cleaner and tongs in the cabin for the grill but I would recommend bringing a charcoal starter/lighter fluid and lighter with you unless you plan on using match light charcoal. Also bring any seasonings you need for cooking, there are NONE in the cabin. There's plenty of silverware, plates, bowls and coffee cups. The pots and pans were great!! My husband actually wants to order a set but we forgot to write the name of them down. The General Store was very nice and the staff was fantastic!! The wash area takes tokens and it's $3 for 6min. We had a blast riding at Ride Royal Blue and will definitely be back, but will probably seek other accommodations.
