This was really nice. My family and I had never been here before. bear Lake is amazing and I am sorry it took me 50 years to visit. I don't know when I come back that I will come to this beach as there seem to be plenty of places to play in the water that weren't part of Utah State Park. I would also like to explore more of the lake. But if you haven't been, now is a good time. Just go up and spend the day. - Jen Mower

While some visitors have shared mixed reviews, it's important to consider the context of a large, public state park. The very elements that can sometimes be challenging—like the crowds or the occasional issue with facilities during off-season—are often a result of its popularity and use by thousands of visitors. However, for a camper who understands what to expect from a state park, Rendezvous Beach has a lot to offer. The spectacular views of the lake are a consistent highlight, providing a truly magical ambiance. The abundant wildlife, especially the water fowl, adds a unique and fascinating element to the experience.

The kid-friendly atmosphere and the proximity to the day-use beach area are also significant benefits for families. While one reviewer mentioned issues with cleanliness and a nearby cattle yard, these are subjective experiences that may not apply to every visitor or during the busy season when staff presence is higher. The accessibility features are a huge bonus, ensuring that people with mobility challenges can also enjoy the beauty of Bear Lake. Ultimately, Rendezvous Beach is worth choosing because it provides a well-equipped, accessible, and beautiful gateway to one of Utah's most iconic bodies of water. For a family outing or a classic camping trip, its blend of practical amenities and stunning scenery makes it a solid and reliable choice.
