Red Gates RV Park Reviews
We stayed at this park for 6 months. During that time, Bob and Diane were extremely helpful and accommodating. We kept delaying our departure date and they were very patient with us. Bob also helped me out with projects and offered his shop to me. If I'm ever back in the area I plan on staying there again.
Nov 04, 2024 · Max MccartyHigh-Level: Decent location and fairly close to activities. From the beginning; we were not well greeted by the camp host. Directions were short and terse and delivered with a sense of annoyance. I was never actually told what spot I was going to.The biggest issue came as I was scolded for washing my rig. There was absolutely no mention of washing in the simple, one-sheet rules. As I was being scolded, I was told “We don’t allow it because you don’t pay for the water.” That is, in fact, EXACTLY what I’m paying for with full hookups! As full-timers, we’ve been to several parks that allow washing of rigs without issue. As an added caution: In my opinion; this is not a big rig friendly park. Its size is definitely better suited for smaller travel trailers or pop-ups.
Jun 10, 2024 · Frank KecsetiA nice, quiet campground with clean facilities. Bob and Diane work hard to keep things running smoothly and the grounds looking great. It’s evident that they take pride in their work. We enjoyed our stay (site 7) and would return again.
Jul 28, 2024 · Amber WrightWhen booked we ask about hurricane coming and if ok, was told “we will be ok, will get some wind and rain, but it will be ok”. We drove 530 miles to get within 20 miles of park and at 5;30 pm received a call that they had no electricity. When we ask “why didn’t you call us earlier“ we were told “it was all over the news. I thought you would know“ how would we know when we’re traveling? She became very hateful, told us that we could stay in our RV with no electric that we would survive. We canceled, kept $10 because we canceled our reservations. As hateful as she was, I would never return even on a good day. I know they could not help the weather, but a call hours before would’ve been helpful!
Sep 30, 2024 · Debra EggemannWe were in town for a wedding and stayed 4 days at this campground. We had a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed our spot (site 7). We had a lot of greenery around us which was great for our 2 dogs. The campground is very well maintained. We will definitely be back!
